  1. I have almost a 10 hour layover at LAX. Are there any good comic shops nearby? Thanks in advance, JB.
  2. Cover is not Jack Johnson. As per the cover blurb, it’s Joe Louis v. Billy Conn. Both great champions. Conn, after his KO by Louis although he was ahead in points, "What's the use of being Irish if you can't be thick [i.e. stupid]?"
  3. the complete unopened box of Mad cards. 1983 MAD Magazine Full box of 36 sealed sticker packages and comes with original scarce promo poster
  4. For those who remember, in Lupoff and Thompson's "All In Color For A Dime", an early comics history, the Minute Man cover of Master Comics 16 was featured in a 4-color illustration. That cover is seared into my memory from reading the Lupoff book over and over. Good luck on the sale!
  5. The REAL CLUE CRIME STORIES is an incredible comic cover. It has great saturated colors, noir theme and a poster-like impact. Good luck on the sale!
  6. I just gave a bunch of graded and non-graded books to a respected Georgia dealer, so I should have some cash for the convention. I love Baltimore. It’s a great city.
  7. I really enjoyed watching Peewee’s Playhouse. Cowboy Curtis was an early Laurence Fishburne role. A friend liked the show so much he named his beloved dog after Miss Yvonne.
  8. Sure there is. The losing bidder was willing to pay a slightly lower amount.👌🏽
  9. Weren’t both Joe Simon’s father and Mr. Lieber (father of Larry and Stanley Martin) tailors?
  10. Will CGC be accepting non-witnessed RR Donnelley signatures?
  11. Disney was involved in the depiction of many wartime insignias, so these examples may have just been in the Disney files at time of publication.
  12. I will be the contrarian here, and state that I prefer the cover to Captain Marvel Adventures #4. It’s more of a static pose, but I think it’s emblematic of the GA superhero. Similar cover to Superman 14, less publicized but no less iconic.
  13. Oops. It’s been a while since I posted a book for sale. USA Shipping via double box US Postal Service $12.95, shipping anywhere else in the world at cost. Since it’s not encapsulated, returns accepted within 7 days if the book is in the same condition as when I mailed it to you Payment by Paypal, Venmo, Zelle, cashiers check/money order, or personal check. (Cash thru the mail is a bad idea, but if you’d like to roll the dice, try it. I can’t guarantee cash will make it to my mailbox though). Funds must clear prior to bulletproof shipping. If you have another payment method, I am willing to listen, but no shekels and no cowrie beads.
  14. Thanks for the DM question. To answer: Book is 1955-56 vintage. It’s a pulp so paper isn’t white but the pages are very supple. I believe the book to be unread.
