Vampirella Special Hardcover Edition Question
chevalmeow replied to Jayman's topic in Comic Magazines
I did not read through all of the Spanish version but what I did see was exactly as the English version. I believe that they ought to be exactly the same as my understanding is that they were printed at the same time. In his book, "A Gathering Horror", David Horne lists the Spanish version as having 1500 copies. He was not positive and stated that his information was derived from a back cover ad from a magazine which stated that the HC was limited to 1500. -
Vampirella Special Hardcover Edition Question
chevalmeow replied to Jayman's topic in Comic Magazines
It was published in Spain(?) for Warren in English by Joseph Toutain via his publishing company Toutain-Editor. This English edition was limited to 500 signed & numbered copies. Many were damaged due to poor printing/manufacturing quality. At the same time it was published in Spanish for European consumers. Don't know what the print run was for that. I have both the Warren, English and Spanish version. -

I have successfully removed penciled grease dates with Ronsonol lighter fluid. Leaves no odor or residue. Using a q-tip or clean cloth or tissue. -

chevalmeow replied to Jayman's topic in Comic Magazines
I go my copy in December of 2019. So I have had it for almost 4 years. Got it from a Great Britain seller (Ian Pakes?) on ebay. Cost me $100 shipping included. The only time I had ever seen it. -

Congratulations for completing such a great set! It is unique, especially the Warren color softbound and the HC annual. Here is my HC copy: Your copy is nicer! -
I will have to pass on this one. It has rusty staples!

I have been looking for an upgrade copy of Creepy 6 for a little while and finally came across a nice one. Got it from The Book Palace of all places (Great Britain). Seems to be a solid VF or so. My now lower grade copy was nice but had a small tear and fold at the right edge of the front cover. Really hard to find at a reasonable cost for a higher grade. Tough black cover.

Since completing my Vampirella, Eerie and Creepy sets, I have been looking to start on my Eerie Publications sets. Was able to find a few but most seem to be in a VG grade or so.Here are a few nice issues of Terror Tales that I was fortunate to win at auction. Very nice condition on these.

A couple for the hoard. I already have a nice copy of 32 but was able to get this one for a fair price given its condition. The Alter Ego came from JimJum12's last sale in late March. A truly beautiful copy!

Uncanny X-Men 207 - Second Printing
chevalmeow replied to JohnnyFinUtah's topic in Copper Age Comic Books
Both 1st and 2nd prints have the same, all black YAMAHA cover. The only way to discern between the two printings is to look inside the comic. -
Uncanny X-Men 207 - Second Printing
chevalmeow replied to JohnnyFinUtah's topic in Copper Age Comic Books
The 2nd print of 208 indicates the printing at the bottom of the first page and has the BLACK SPIDER MAN head on the cover. The interior front cover and rear cover ads of the 2nd print are different. First print image is on the left and the 2nd print image is on the right in each of the scans below. Sorry for the poor images. First print: Inside front cover M&M ad. Inside back cover has MASK ad. Second print: Inside cover has NEW UNIVERSE ad. Inside back cover has CLASSIC X-MEN ad.. I hope that you can find yourself a copy! -
