  1. I got this page direct from Derek Yaniger in 2015. I recently got it professionally framed. Marvel Comics' Transformers: Generation 2. Issue 2, Page 4.
  2. Thanks. This comic book, along with anything in my collection, wont be mine forever. I wont be around forever. I enjoy having what I have now, growing my collection, and displaying it. But, I am just holding on to it until I'm ready to pass it on to the next collector. I need to work on posting pictures of it in the, "Got A Comic Book Room Thread'. Peter Cullen was so nice. I was blow away at how polite and nice the guy was. We were all given this long speech about how we had to get in, sign our item, take a pic, and get out. But Peter seem very interested in each and everyone in line and took the time to have a conversation. Classy guy from my experience.
  3. I'm starting to feel bad about the comic I had Peter Cullen sign at TFcon Toronto last year.
  4. Honestly I wouldn't mind having one of those signature books. Talking with my friends, a debate came up as to why would anyone even want these since Frank and Peter had nothing to do with the comics. Simply put, it's all about how and what you want to collect.
  5. Hi Everyone, Every now and again, I come by and checkout this thread. I really want to be more active in it if you all find what I have to chat about interesting. Last week, I was blow away by some eBay postings that appear from two or three different sellers. TRANSFORMERS ALL HAIL MEGATRON #1 CGC 9.8 SS APOCALYPSE SIGNED CULLEN & WELKER! $1,499.99 [ CLOSED & SOLD ] THE TRANSFORMERS #45 CGC SS 9.8 • SIGNED: PETER CULLEN & FRANK WELKER • VARIANT $1,499.99 [ OPEN ] Transformers #1 CGC 9.6 SS Peter Cullen & Frank Welker Optimus Prime & Megatron! $1,499.99 [ OPEN ] Transformers #1 CGC 9.8 SS Peter Cullen & Frank Welker Optimus Prime & Megatron! $2,499.99 [ OPEN ] The All Hail Megatron book sold within two or three days of being posted. The reset of these are taking longer. My working theory here is that CGC is sending back everyone's books from last years Texas Comic Con and now they are appearing on eBay. Do you guys think these books are worth these prices? Is Frank Welker's autograph just that rare that these books can demand these prices? I'll be honest. My mouse hovered over the 'buy now' Button for Transformers #1 auction.
  6. Yeah. IDW comics is known for doing these Retailer Incentive Covers and only printing around 1000 of them. So if you're not quick on the draw they can be difficult to locate.
  7. It's the book on the right that I am most excited about having recently added to my collection. You're looking at Transformers: All Hail Megatron, Issue 1. It's a retailer exclusive cover: Megatron taking a picture with Reflector, art by Casey Coller and Josh Burcham. The cover is an homage to the cover of Batman: The Killing Joke published by DC Comics in 1988 on the left. I've been searching a while for this book and I couldn't be more pleased with it.
  8. Could you explain the error to me? Some copies of Sandman #18 are noted as variants or blue panel variants. It appears that the yellow and blue coloring is reversed on the first page giving it 3 blue panels instead of yellow. Very few of these issues are in circulation with CGC showing less than 5 officially graded copies. Yup, that's pretty much it and I personally think the blue color fits the scene better than the original yellow. The rarity/demand is also helped by it being one of the most notable and famous stories (A Dream of a Thousand Cats) to come from the Sandman series. Ahh, okay. Thank you!
  9. Picked up this guy up while I was in Portland, OR for 27 bucks. On a side note. I show my support for Futurama by picking up the comics now that the show is off the air.
  10. On your left you're looking at a rare All Hail Megatron, issue # 12, Apocalypse Comics Exclusive Cover: Homage to Amazing Spider-Man #50, with Megatron in place of Spidey; art by Casey Coller with colors by Joana Lafuente released in 2009, I believe. On your right, The Amazing Spider-Man issue 50 released in 1967 with cover art by John Romita. This is the issue that is being homaged in All Hail Megatron. I am super happy to have these two books together finally. I was able to snag the the Amazing Spider-Man #50 at Emerald City Comic Con this year.
  11. Proof that nostalgia sells. When I saw this I squealed with joy and had to have it.
  12. I got it from an ebay action that was sold by colorist John-Paul Bove. I would love to add Casey's autograph to the others on here.
  13. The Transformers: Regeneration One issue 0 had four different covers produced. Cover A Cover B A Retailer Incentive Cover, or RI Cover And finally a Retailer Exclusive cover, or RE. This copy of issue zero is a Retailer Exclusive cover. Megatron and the Decepticons in front of the Town Clock in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Exclusive to Giant Robot Comics (who are based in Halifax). I got this copy signed by: Writer Simon Furman Penciller Geoff Senior Inker Stepen Baskerville Colorist John-Paul Bove
  14. I really want a copy of this to display next to my 'All Hail Magatron' homage issue.
  15. I so want a spinner. I can't think of a more fun way to show off a collection then on one.
  16. I picked up a copy of Transformers: All Hail Megatron. It's the Amazing Spiderman #50 tribute cover that could only be gotten from Apocalypse Comics. The cover was drawn by Casey Coller and he signed this one. Now I want to get a copy of Amazing Spiderman 50 to display along side the Transformers comic.
  17. Nice find! It looks like it's in great shape too! I'm A big G1 Transformers fan and always stoked to see good copies of this series floating around. Enjoy it!
  18. Its been a little while since I have posted anything. But, I have been watching everyone's amazing posts. I recently picked up a signed comic and unique drawing by Casey Coller. I think his art is Fantastic! The comic I picked up is Transformers: Regeneration One Issue #0. This is the variant Halifax Cover that you could only pick up from 'Giant Robot Comics' in Halifax Canada and its my understanding that only 1200 issues with this cover where ever made. Mr. Coller signed one for me. I also wrote up a little blog post on trying to get my hands on this comic from the comic book store it's self. Megatron and the Decepticons in front of the Town Clock in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Exclusive to Giant Robot Comics (who are based in Halifax), by Casey Coller and John-Paul Bove. Close up of signed copy Mr. Coller's Sketch I am so thrilled about this I can't even explain and I am glad to have a place here to share it with you all. Thanks!
  19. Last year for Christmas, I used an online custom puzzle service. I photo shoped a collage of family photos together, and submitted the file to one of these online places. For $26 (I think) they set the puzzle to us and anytime over our family visit that year we just worked on the puzzle and had it completed just before we left. Doing the same thing with Comic book covers might be a great gift.
  20. I have to say, I think this is a fantastic idea and would make for great Christmas presents or birthday presents. I assume these are puzzles? Did you have these custom made or did you find a store that makes them? I know there are places on line where you can have custom puzzles made and I think getting something made with 1,000 peaces would be more fun for adults.
  21. Honestly, I have no clue. But I will. I am currently reviewing all the Transformers comics that are part of the main story line. If you want to follow along, I am posting them here: Transformers Comic Book Continuity and Review of issue 1 to get you started.
