  1. They do not have to be graded. And wow, for a first sketch commission thats really impressive man.
  2. As stated in the 2016 sketch cover super/mga thread by: A-DONIS.
  3. TFCon was this last weekend. There I met IDW comic book artist Casey Coller and Picked up this commission from him. Homaging Secret Origins Special number 1. The Batman villains have been replace with 1980s Transformers villains from the old Marvel comic. From Left to right we have Robot Master, The Mechanic, and Circuit Breaker. The shadow of Optimus Prime looms in the background.
  4. I just got back. No. The best thing i could find where some UK trades and of course the TransMissions Exclusive.
  5. I haven't seen it before. I'm just starting to get into Foreign G1 comic collecting.
  6. I'm guessing that Lost Light #1 will be a reintroduction of the cast before getting on with the story.
  7. Hey, thanks Augusts! All beautiful books by the way. Thanks for showing them off.
  8. That's such an awesome idea! My advice to you is what I do. Contact these artist ASAP. Let them know what you want. Let them know you'll pay in advance and mail the comic book out to them in advance of the show. This will allow them plenty of time to work on your cover commission. This year (Chicago TFCOn) turned it to an unexpected, pretty big deal. At least in my opinion. Something I gave my word that I would not to talk about till the convention starts. But will be a good example of why in the future people should contact these artists ahead of time. It's also not related to the ongoing IDW Transformers universe, but original G1. So I wont talk about it here after the convention. Hit me up privately if you'd like to know.
  9. The Canada shows have sucked for comics. Good for getting stuff signed or the random exclusive. Bad for finding much of anything. I've been told the U.S. shows are much better. I can't speak from experience though.
  10. I've been going to the Toronto show for the last two years. This is the first year I'll be attending the U.S. show. The first year I went to the Toronto show I was a bit pissed off due to the fact the show is not 100% transformers centered. This last July . The guests have always been kind and fun to talk to. Never had any issues collecting autographs or conducting interviews. I would say, to generalize, the fans are kick at these shows. Having been to PAX and ECCC, the fans that go to TFCon are amazing, fun to talk to, and lots to learn from each other. Just limit your interaction with the staff.
  11. I've heard him say the same thing. I could have sworn he said on twitter with in the last year that he gifted it to a friend of his. But I can't find a mention of it now. Maybe I'm wrong.
  12. Myself any the whole TransMissions Podcast crew is going to TFCon Chicago. Are any of you going?
  13. *kicks the door open* I'm joining the Don Perlin Fan Club, Damnit! Yes, that's GhostRider in the upper left Character Box.
  14. He blows me away. I have to brag a little and show off my piece from TFcon this year.
  15. At TFcon Toronto 2016, I was able to get sketch covers from James Raiz, Matt Moylan, and Nicole. Alex Milne, Josh Perez, and Sara Pitre-Durocher where also available at the convention. If you can attend TFcon Chicago, I would watch their website and twitter feed and if an artist is announced that you want a sketch from hit them up right away so they and you are prepared for the job.
  16. You know, I'm sure I could contact these guys and commission something via snail mail. But part of the fun is meeting these guys. I'm hoping i'll see them at Emerald City Comic Con. Or a con I can get to a little easier than SDCC.
  17. A scale of measurement to describe my jealousy has not been invented yet.
  18. DnD 3.5 paintings and pencil drawings by Sam Wood. WHOA!!! Nice!
