  1. I just put this up on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/333257586187 You can also find it in CAF here: https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1064935
  2. Here's my latest piece, which is vintage art circa 1946. I have a little attachment to this because part of the art was torn off and damaged so I had to redraw the missing parts myself to give it some sort of restoration. Check it out here... https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1551776 https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1551776
  3. My favorite commission keeps changing but for now I like this one by John Byrne. I asked for a re-imagination of Marvel Super Villain Team-Up 14 because the cover was originally pencilled by Byrne and the cover date is my birthmonth and year -- and Byrne knocked it out of the park - drawing even more characters than I had asked for. https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1140695 [/img] https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1140695
  4. Here's something I have not shared before: DC Comics Presents 85 - Superman & Swamp Thing https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1550196
  5. I am in the same boat. Haven't been buying as frequently but maybe just two pieces a year since 2015. I started in 2011 or 2012.
  6. I just got a couple more artwork from Filipino artists because I've been feeling patriotic lately. Visit the CAF like below the picture to read a full description: Francisco Coching - Hagibis 1946 Larry Alcala - Mang Ambo 1960s
  7. That Groo and Rufferto frontispiece art used to be mine! I sort of regret selling it, that's why I came back with a vengeance and got two Groo covers! That is such a nice nice image!
  8. In that Groo Inferno cover, I just digitally put the logo to the jpg file to make it look more presentable in CAF. If you check my page, there is an additional image on the entry which is the art without the title. In the Groo #3 cover, which is the subject of this original post, the cover came with the logo pasted up but the scroll banner surrounding the logo is hand drawn.
  9. The later Groo issues - Image and Dark Horse have been out in the market with pages popping out. I think Sergio broke those up. Covers of the TPB's have also been coming out to the market. As a matter of fact, my other Groo art is a TPB cover which I love because of how big the characters are drawn and how it features more or less the most important case of characters in the Groo pantheon. Here it is: https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1345728 I would love to own a complete book one day because although I have two Groo covers, it does not feel complete without Evanier's dialogue as lettered by Sakai (too bad Luth's colors aren't on the same page). Maybe someday....
  10. I am not sure, but doesn't the background moon with the Mistrel's balls is his hat form a face with his finger as the lips? Is that a hidden gag? Blame it on the auto correct! Not sure what Alf Theragones is either! I am not sure if I can still change the subject heading, I don't think I can though. Yes, that is what I've heard but it seems like 12.5 k is a sizeable amount to shell out. Maybe someday! Thank you for checking out the writeup in the CAF page.
  11. The year is almost over and I did not buy a single piece of comic art because I sort of shifted interests and had other pursuits. Then I realized I could not go a year without buying anything can I? So I got me this.... Groo #3 (Dark Horse 1998) Original Cover Art by Sergio Aragones I wrote a much longer discourse on that cover art I got in the link above. There is also a high resolution image on that page. I tried to do some searches here with the search function and realized not a lot of Groo original art collectors here. As for me, this is my second Groo piece. Any other closet Groo or Aragones collectors or even just fans? I'd love to see what you guys have.
  12. Just added a new Kevin Maguire Super Friends cover re-imagination, done with his trademark Justice League #1 pose! http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=1436980
  13. Here are some by Jerry Ordway for the post Crisis Superman reboot. For some reason, John Byrne didn't draw new covers for the collections so Ordway did it: http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1112290 http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1112289 http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=892291
  14. I would have volunteered to help and come up with something like this, but I guess I came too late. I will just post here for reference.
  15. More from the Dean of Philippine Comics - Francisco V. Coching: Hagibis circa 1949 http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1349916 Mara-Bini circa 1941 http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1349936
