  1. My latest pickup Tempted to crack it out of the slab to get the full experience and to read the Roy Thomas letter.
  2. Just picked this bad boy up. - This completes my FF 1-10 :-) I might crack it out just to experience the thing. - Also to read the Roy Thomas letter!
  3. Lucky devil! - A nice pick up. I missed this comic. Was speaking to the lady at WW Comics sorting quote on the shipping cost. Then when I went to complete my cart an hour later it had gone :-( Glad it went to someone on these boards. Lesson learned. I will be quicker on the draw next time ;-)
  4. Picked this up this week as well. Raw again ? Please excuse bad pics.
  5. Thanks for the advice. Thinking about it. In the meantime, Wow that's some AF15. Puts my 4.5 to shame. I have never seen inner pages so clean. Looks like it came off the presses yesterday. Congrats on such a fine copy.
  6. Thanks Not a Clone. Yep it's lovely, it's a 3.5 at best as it has a few issues/creases at the bottom. It's the first pickup in my mission to get a nice little early FF run together. Bagged the #3 and just picked up #2 this week as well, both RAW. Around 6 years or so ago, I did my Spider-man run, Hulk etc and secured up most of the key early 60s Marvel keys and number 1s in CGC mid grades. But to be honest that's what turned me off for a while as I got bored of looking at these incredible comics though a holder. It's like having a Ferrari in your garage. Wonderful, but after staring at it through a glass wall you want to drive the thing and get the full experience. - I could crack the slabs but I'm not brave enough to crack my FF1, AF15, Hulk 1 etc. When I got this FF #3 the thrill of (carefully) handling it, smelling it and actually reading the damn thing - adverts and all - was a simply lovely experience. One that I don't get when a slab arrives. So this time round I have set myself a little rule of 'Under a Grand it's Raw'. If it's over Grand then It will need to be in a slab for the restoration checks etc. But rules are meant to be broken ;-)
  7. Getting back into this wonderful hobby after a few years of inactivity and have just got this. FF #3 Grade about a 3.5. Its the first in my quest to complete an FF.
  8. I have only purchased from comiclink once a few weeks ago. everyhing was cool. fast shipping.
  9. Nope. Not Leeds but in London at the National tomorrow. Got an email from Harley Yee yesterday saying he was coming along. Always good to see Harley, he usually has some nice books. Any other boardies going?
  10. Thanks oakman29. It's taken me a year to put this together. For some reason I found it more difficult than I thought when I set out. Started with number 1 which my buddies said I paid over the odds for last August. But since then the book has gone mega so I am glad I got it when I did. I think the 4 will get upgraded soon, if I can find another. Now I need to do My FF thing. Im going for 1-10....
