  1. I'm in love. Finally pulled the trigger on this guy. It has everything I could love. A little receipt initial A inside the "D" in weird. I find the bit of off kilter registration (look at the art line along the top edge) great and very apt for the era. It even has a date stamp on the back. And the worst of the condition defects are all on the back!
  2. Was so excited by the last second stop by the Gators to seal the win I forgot to come on and drop prices ! Prices are now dropped! PM with offers, bundles if you like. Will keep the thread open thru the long weekend and then I'll close shop and send invoices.
  3. Saturday football bump. If the Forida Gators win tonight, I'll drop prices at the end of the game. If they lose I'm raising prices out of spite. (Kidding)

  15. Affordable GA Sci Fi slabs, some of my registry under copies, a pedigree and some high grade stuff But first.. The Rules: Whatever happens in marketplace, stays in marketplace. No wait, wrong rules, hold on… here they are: NO PL/HOS members. I also reserve the right to not sell to someone with justification. If you have outstanding payments past due to other members, don’t commit to buying my book, pay your bills! "I'll take it" in a thread will always supersede any active negotiations in PM or emails. In the case of a tie, time stamps and screen shots win. Payments: Paypal is perfectly acceptable. Purchases over $1,000, check/mo preferred. If you pay by check you get freebies. Checks must clear before shipping...usually 3 business days max! Payment plans available; please PM me to discuss Shipping: I ship USPS Priority mail M-W-F, so you will receive your books quickly. CGC books (up to 3) will be $15 to US, $40 to Canada. Refunds: There will be no dis-satisfaction based refunds since books are graded by a third party and I'm gonna provide a butt ton of pictures. If book is damaged/lost in shipping, we will work together. Book will be insured for value.
  16. Ok, not comics related, but the scenario is one that could have just as easily played out in the comics hobby (this was sports cards). I missed out in an auction on an item. It sold for around $200 (multiple bidders, good listing), and another one was listed but the seller had it in a BIN for $500. Same item, same condition, same scarcity... so I thought what's the worst that could happen? So I put in an offer (thankfully they had that turned on) and I pitched my case for $200, pointing out it's twin just sold in auction. I had little hope. On the upside, it didnt get auto-rejected but still there the offer sat... like a fart in church for 36+ hours. Today I check ebay and there's an item in my cart and LO AND BEHOLD THE SELLER ACCEPTED! Did I find the LONE seller on eBay that lists whale prices but will listen to market data?!?! So in celebration tell your tale of your long shot offer that you didnt think had a chance in heck, but came thru. (Im anticipating a lot of "how I ended up with my hot wife" stories, but maybe there are some hobby stories as well)
  17. Hope everything works out in Sharks thread (great guy, great seller). A reminder to always be thorough in your thread rules in terms of "take its" via PM being equal to "take it's" in the thread, and that the time stamp is the decider....
  18. Not a fan of stealth price changes. Especially increases. Raise your price sure. But don't make me think I'm crazy for remembering a listing from 14 hrs ago at one price that is now a different price.
  19. here's something to blow your mind. The census doesnt represent the total population of a book in collections, just the number (minus duplicates) that have been submitted. So even if the census was 100% accurate (on the number of graded books), it still would not be 100% representational (of the total books in collections including non-graded). So even if it was accurate, it would not be accurate (if you get what Im saying).
