Thanks. Something like this once happened to me years ago (don't recall the circumstances). I called ebay and they removed the comment right away. This time, after not being able to get through to a person at eBay, I submitted a "remove feedback" request online and was turned down almost immediately. I finally got through to a person on the phone by saying I wanted "help with listing". The woman who answered the phone seemed to take my side, said I "did everything right", then kept putting me on hold and coming back to me as she "escalated" it to the right team. After repeatedly saying it will be resolved soon, she finally said I'd hear back by email within 24-48 hours. When I got that email, it just said I should "try to work things out" with the other party. Will keep trying

A warning to sellers about ebay member raddude3000 On Sunday I traveled from one of my homes to another for a 2-3 week stay and brought a box containing my current 42 eBay listings (all comics). For the past couple of years, I have only sold one or two things at a time but in the past months I have ramped this up to about 40 listings. I've sold about 5,000 comics the past 10 years and am about the best seller anyone would want to deal with. Anyway the day after I left home this guy buys a book. I go to the box to pull it but it isn't there. Obviously, a mistake on my part but no idea what happened and no way to investigate until I get back home. Explained this to the buyer, apologized and offered a refund or to put the transaction on hold until I can get back home, find the book and ship it. He chooses refund. Here are his first two messages to me: "Small problem? What the heck? Are you frigging serious right now?" "Handle it now or you won’t like the feedback I leave on this unprofessional transaction" In his feedback, he twice calls me a scammer and accuses me of "stealing his money" and "using it" for the 5 days until eBay refunds him. That is neat but it reminds me how I have not really been pleased with the quality of CGC's scans (the add-on with grading)

The knocking about of the package likely caused the comic to punch through the side seam of the Mylar, which sometimes come apart easily. Might have been faulty product but I no longer take the chance.

I ship everything in poly bags now. I have had Mylars split during shipment, in two cases tearing the book

Just what i was about to post. There are many reasons why it might not. It is worth debating what a CGC 9.8 Detective #27 would go for, when one doesn't exist? You sort of need to scale and compare best available copy to best available copy, 1:1. That said i have no problem with the argument or the thread title. It's correct that it's more valuable per grade point. There are two ways to define what's most valuable.

I bought a few packs of these years ago and would like to get more. Can't remember the brand or where I bought them. They are made of thin plastic, are a hair under 8 1/2" wide and about 12 1/4 " tall, not counting the tab. The closest I can find size-wise are Ultra Pro Magazine dividers, but they are out of stock everywhere I've looked (Amazon for example). I don't think they are this exact product anyway. The dividers on BCEMylar for example seem to be about an inch shorter than these. Thanks in advance.

This "enhancement" helps buyers comparison-shop and potentially sends their business elsewhere. IMO this business loss outweighs any gains from drawing buyers to a "cool tool." It hurts consignors - and gives them a reason to go to your competitors, too. Filtering and categorizing eBay listings - just a long, unpoliced string of text - is a huge pain and ultimately futile. Your crawl will inevitably exclude things that should be included and vice versa (I found a mistake in about 2 minutes). As the sort of "sophisticated buyer" you are attempting to attract, I will always go straight to the source (eBay in this case) and wouldn't trust another site's version of it. I get MCS's interest in innovating, but I could send you 6 better ideas.

Each episode presents the dramatic high point(s) of a large story. I feel I'm given just barely enough details and character development to feel the weight of the huge twists, but I'd prefer more. Alicent and the Princess's childhood friendship could have developed over a whole season, for example, making the later betrayals affect me that much more. After the problems with GoT's final seasons I can imagine that with this spin-off they might have planned the story over say five seasons and ensured they can hit every beat. Maybe the multi-generational story appealed to HBO as a way to keep costs down. Recasting as characters age brings a churn to the cast so actors can't ride the show's popularity to huge pay increases. I do get the feeling with HoD they may have spent less on talent and more on special effects.

If I recall, ComicConnect/Metro is a little later than other venues in reporting sales to GPA. It would make sense in any case that they might wait some period after an auction's end, until payments are received and books shipped out. That said, it's possible there were a couple of ComicConnect bidders who wanted this book badly who may not subscribe to GPA or generally be aware of what the book is going for. Perhaps they participate in CC auctions to the exclusion of others. While this has been readily available in other venues perhaps CC has not offered a copy in a while. We are often quick to suspect shilling, when there may be simpler explanations completely consistent with normal human behavior - getting auction fever, being inexperienced & uninformed, not doing one's research, etc, that could reasonably explain the actions of two different bidders in a given evening.

Haven't there been some rare instances (recall a thread or two here years ago) where CGC has actually taken an interest in owning up to mistakes like this, and made everyone involved whole?

Nobody cared about this book 2 years ago. Nobody. It was barely worth grading even in high grades. I had 2 copies because I was collecting the Charlton Watchmen analogues, including a 9.0 that was about $100. Overnight, it's a huge key because John Cena wants to play him? I think we should let the book gestate a bit more. I'm also a big Pat Boyette fan. I suggest reading his bio for those who aren't familiar with him.

I would agree with that - the guy you are selling to is definitely spinning you a tale. The arrangement isn't necessarily a predatory one though.
