  1. Well all, I dont post here often, hardly at all actually but I was the seller of the raw Previews 95 that sold for 4K a few days ago. I actually received this from DCBS, bagged and boarded it and almost threw it away along with the rest of the previews a few months ago. Turns out the buyer after I shipped the mag asked me to reroute it away from his ebay/paypal address. You all know what that means. It goes somewhere else, he gets the book and claims it was never received and I violated policy a s a seller. Caught this in time, and the shipment while still in transit is being rerouted back to me. Whether or not there is any value in this book, I leave for others to debate but thought I would share this all with you. FYI, as many of you know, I am also the same guy that runs ComicBooks For Kids! (https://www.facebook.com/comicbooksforkids/) , the industry charity that provides comic books to kids in hospitals and cancer centers across all 50 states. This was my personal ebay account. We also ship to the military when we have material inappropriate for the kiddos. Soooo, onwrad and upward and thought I would share. More then likely, I will be considering 2nd chance offers. Not sure yet. Best to all of you and best of holidays to all. Mark
  2. Hey all. Wanted to make you aware that we received a donation of ten long boxes from a collector that is simply in NM 9.4-9.8 condition. All comics are bagged and boarded and for the most part are Batman related. We are talking sets or almost sets of Shadow of the Bat, Legends of the Dark Knight, Batman Dark Knight, Robin, Nightwing, Grayson, Batman and Robin, Batman Inc, Azrael, Catwoman Birds of Prey, Batgirl, Robin son of Batman, Superman/wonder woman, Zatanna, and many others. While 99% of what we receive goes to children in hospitals, we will on ocassion when the material is too adult for children sell them and use the proceeds for shipping comics to hospitals. I apologize to the mods if this was the wrong place to put this and if so, please move it but wanted to offer these to collectors at what may be considered a fair and reasonable amount with 100% of these proceeds going to charity. What you would do if you wanted any of these is contact me at the charity web site and we could work from there. Donations would be made via paypal to the charity as well although if you wanted, we could always do an ebay auction. No real hidden gems here but a great chance to get a run at a very low price and help us out!
  3. Last post of the year. If you cannot contribute..and not everyone can, perhaps you can simply go on our Facebook page and like us (if indeed you do). https://www.facebook.com/comicbooksforkids/ Our goal was a meager 100 likes for this year and we are at 97. Regardless, my thanks to all of you who DID contribute and made a difference for the kids out there.
  4. As the end of the year approaches and you are considering your donations, remember, we work on behalf of the comic industry representing Distributor, Publishers and the retailers to provide comic books to kids in hospitals and cancer centers. keep us in mind and check out our Facebook page as well! Amazing story about a three year, open heart surgery and comics. https://www.facebook.com/comicbooksforkids/
  5. Thanks. For those who care, there really were only 400 copies of this printed putting it in the same class as the 222 Kudranski(in terms of number of copies available). What makes this harder to get raw is that McFarlane signed many of the EWU copies so finding a NM without his signature limits availability further. Again, no one may care or even know but it is something that should be recognized.
  6. May have missed it but didn't see the Spawn 232 Eastern Washington University cover on here. Apparently only 400 of these exist and even fewer not signed by McFarlane. It is the same cover as the 232 with EWU GRAD Special across the top.
  7. For those of you with an interest, what we have done together as a comic book community is amazing. In just 6 months, we have delivered comic books to over 6,000 children in over 90 hospitals. If you haven't seen us lately, please take a look and contribute something if you can. Even $25.00 makes a big difference for us as 100% of what we do goes to the "kids". We draw 0 compensation from this-all 100% donated time.
  8. Friends, if you have not seen our results, please log on and contribute where you can. We have shipped over 3,000 comics already and by the time Halloween Comic Fest hits, will exceed 5,000 comics!. Our medical facilities tab shows the hospitals we have sent to. The community tab shows feedback. You can also be on our wall of heroes with a donation. Please help us if you can. Even the smallest donation makes a difference!
  9. Bleeding cool article today. https://www.bleedingcool.com/2017/08/06/fighting-dragons-battling-super-villains-hospital-bed/ We would love your help too, especially as the elite board in the industry! We are SOOOO close to our funding goal and I want to reflect you guys as the difference maker!
  10. Thought you all might be interested https://icv2.com/articles/news/view/38089/diamond-joins-comicbooks-kids
  11. All, wanted to let you know that that there was an announcement of ComicBooks For Kids at the Diamond Retailer breakfast. We are starting to receive calls from retailers who want to participate as well as the media. We would love your help, your active participation, your friending us on facebook, following us on twitter. Any and all support is appreciated. I want you guys to be the elite board for us. Look, I know you are saving for the flash of Two Worlds, I get that but $25.00 allows us to send comics to three hospitals. $100.00 puts you on our board with your name and any super hero character above your name.(thank you Adam A). This is the last week of our funding drive. Help us help the kids. Thanks all and thanks to those of you who have already reached out and contributed! http://www.Comicbooksforkids.ORG
  12. A very sincere and heartfelt THANK YOU to all of you who have sent me some wonderful emails and have contributed to what we do. Seriously, thank you!
  13. recreated this in the general section-mods please erase with my apologies.
  14. Board members and with sincere apologies if I have broken any rules here.About three years ago, I wanted to donate some comics to medical facilities and then it hit me, there was no major initiative that really was in place to help children in hospitals, medical facilities and cancer centers across the US. This is not to say that there aren't sites out there-there are. But there was nothing that I could see that brought the industry, publishers, shops and all of us into this endeavor. It has been my experience that as collectors, many are some of the nicest people you can meet. Exceptons exist everywhere but still, many have asked how they could help.To that end, http://www.Comicbooksforkids.ORG was created. This is a new initiative whose only goal is to provide comic books to kids in hospitals, cancer centers, etc. We started a few months ago but really waited to announce this until we had all the legal paperwork in place. Each of you can help. We are a 501(C) 3 organization which means we are authorized by the IRS as a charity. Our document stating this is on our web site and you can look us up as well. What that means is that whenever you make a donation, you receive a letter from us documenting your donation for tax purposes. Please let others know about us. From our web site you can friend us on Facebook or follow us on twitter. Please ask your comic shop to contact us. This site relies on donations of all types to ship comics to medical facilities. In the past week, we had the pleasure of shipping over 200 comics to 5 hospitals. That is 200 more kids who can be kids again while they are in the hospital. Last week, Diamond highlighted us in their weekly e-blast to retailers, also reposted on our comic store button on our site. You can also see that Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse, Lion Forge, Archie, Boom, Oni Press and IDW are already working with us.And this is wonderful because it is an opportunity for all of us.Let me state in closing that I dont have all the answers. This all started with a desire to help out kids and to perhaps for a period of time, they can imagine themselves soaring through the sky, being Superman, Thor, Batman or any other of the many wonderful characters that we ourselves appreciate. If we do nothing else but perhaps bring some cheer to these children, then we have done our jobs. And to that end, my favorite page on the web site is the community page where we share the feedback. https://www.comicbooksforkids.org/community I know $$$ are tight, seriously but on our donate page I state that even a $25.00 donation allows us to ship comics to three hospitals and for those who actually contribute $100, you go on our wall of heroes page where your name is posted underneath a picture of your favorite character. And for those who want to contribute comics or even donate to your local hospital, we will work with you on that (although some hospitals are very strict on what they receive-but we can help here). Thanks for reading, sharing the vision and supporting any way that you can. Mark
