  1. Just got back a nice looking Hulk 181 in 9.0 but it has (B-1) color touch on the front cover. What would a fair price for this book be today?

    Tree-fiddy (shrug)

    Here's a nice 9.2.

Too bad it looks to me like he shilled it up to the exact $1,850 somebody paid for it about a year ago.

GPA might actually mean something on a restored high grade book. Not.

  2. Did that week of posts really need to go "poof"?

    doh!

I was hoping to respond to the post about the Extensive sale price being low compared to what other traditional extensive books would go for.

The highest sale I've ever seen for an extensive shows about $22,905 for a 9.2 in 2009.

Then in 2010 it shows the same certification number selling for $7,768.

I can't find any evidence of a real market for extensive in key books.

    No matter who grades them.

  3. The idea behind not bumping one's thread was to avoid doing so when one was not adding anything new to the list, etc. Granted, it's probably taking advantage of a loophole in the rules a bit, but it is still within the guidelines...

My point being, perhaps the guidelines should be modified.

Between the old friends bumping each other with "dude, nice books." and this tactic, maybe it should just be all bets are off.

Someone playing by the rules of creating a post and listing all of the books they want to sell at once, quickly disappears.

Other people get fifty  , (shrug) , ???? bumps because they promise books are "coming" any minute. lol

  4. He's holding a IRON MAN

Here is what is in the rack that I can figure out so far. Don't know the numbers though, just titles.

Top roll: ROM, Alpha Flight, Avengers?, ???.

    2nd roll down: The New Mutants,CONAN, Metamophro, ????, ????.

3rd roll down: Annual of some kind, KING-SIZE annual of some kind, ASM, ???, ASM.

4th roll down: Deadstar Annual, Thor, ROM, ???, ???.

5th roll down: ???, Captain America, ROM, ???

    6th roll down: ???, ???, ???.

    7th last roll: ASM, ???

Great find. Didn't even remember this scene and I've watched this movie several time.

Looks like X-Men 143 next to the Metamorpho

The book in the top row is a Masters of the Universe..I believe there is a Master of Kung Fu next to it. Same Peter Parker twice bottom row, a Marvel Tales, Kung Fu Fighter and a Flash. No clue what's under the Iron Man he's picking up, or next to the Amazing two rows down from the Iron Man.

  5. I think there's a copy of dreadstar annual #1 on the floor in a flashback scene in Robocop. Either that or I'm wrong.

Watched it on Blu Ray yesterday.

This guy is about to hold up the convenience store.

    Typical reaction to 80's Marvels.

I'm pretty sure the Amazing is #236...came out about 4 years before this movie did.
