In a new interview with MTV (via ComicBook.com), the Marvel Studios head responded to a question about whether we'd see something other than "a white kid that's 15 or 16" playing Spider-Man with a vague, "Maybe. The field is very wide right now in terms of who we're looking at within a certain age range." The implication here is that while we certainly will see a teenage Peter Parker, there's no guarantee he'll be Caucasian.
Feige also noted that the studio always thought the first MCU Spider-Man should be Peter Parker, but that doesn't rule out a Miles Morales showing up in the future. "Miles I think is awesome," he said. "I think there are opportunities for him for sure if this all works."
