  1. HELLSPAWN 1 - CGC 9.8 - SIGNED BY BRIAN BENDIS A lesser known mini-series. Signed by the author. I always enjoyed Wood's non-traditional take on Spawn. His work is instantly recognizable.
  2. SPAWN: BLOOD FEUD 3 - CGC 9.8 Wouldn't be a Spawn book if it weren't dripping with black, which makes high-grade a very tough find. All the white marks/imperfections were flaws in the case or scanner noise/glass imperfections, not the book itself. We will take a look at a lesser known mini-series starting tomorrow...all three issues will be signed.
  3. If the CGC remains consistent () then the book will receive a blue label with a notation that "Todd McFarlane" was written on the front cover. As pointed out by another poster, it will not receive a yellow label. This is usually how things are handled when it is widely known that books were signed by the author without a witness/before the yellow label program. Cerebus 1 is an example. Here is another example from the Spawn universe... Let us know what they decide to do!
  4. Well, I did have a 9.2 Okajima Planet as well at one point, now that you mention it.
  5. SPAWN: BLOOD FEUD 1 - CGC 9.8 Story by the reclusive Alan Moore...
  6. SPAWN CAPITAL COLLECTION - CGC 9.8 Rumored print run of just over one thousand. Many of them, like this one, were signed. A provenance certificate was included with this copy. I've attached it here for your perusal.
  7. I don't see any rust, but I'm not looking through a loupe. Based on the pics provided, I completely disagree with the CGC's assessment. I'm also not sure how rust would form on the interior of the staple and not the outside.
  8. SPAWN BIBLE - CGC 9.8 Tomorrow...an interesting book with a provenance certificate!
  9. EDIT - it really depends on the amount of moisture damage. Once you see "tide lines" it's game over.
  10. Oh, I agree. Here are the biggest threats to your comics...maybe ranked...maybe not? 1. A vindictive ex-wife or girlfriend who knows to hit where it hurts the most. 2. A toddler with a crayon and oppositional defiant disorder. 3. Fire 4. Paper shredder 5. Water 6. Mold 7. A bored dog. 8. Classic Collectible Services 9. The CGC receiving department...eh...make that ANY department 10. Earwigs 11. People who think you can press out moisture damage.
  11. SPAWN/BATMAN WAR DEVIL - CGC 9.8 What the world...needs now... isn't love...sweet love... it's another Spawn/Batman crossover. Here ya go! Again, pardon the reflections from these double-thick slabs.
  12. This isn't even close to being the same thing. You cannot "heat press [a comic that's been exposed to water] to desiccate and smooth [it] out." Please. Stop spreading misinformation. EDIT: I guess you could heat press a soaked comic...enjoy the completely fused interior.
  13. Avoid moisture and mold at all costs. Hard to think of a worse exposure...maybe fire or insects?
  14. Oh. It's a problem. They aren't supposed to sign. The CUSTOMER is supposed to sign. This is a matter of security. Absolutely unacceptable.
  15. There you go. Sounds like a convenient lie to me. They know the chances of a lawsuit or claim are slim to none. Cheaper to simply absorb the cost. I would demand pics of the damaged package.
  16. I'd venture to say that you are probably correct. The package didn't arrive damaged. The order was received and divided according to grading tier. At some point, they dropped or other how damaged your pre-screens. The other ones were fine. How did you pack them? Were the books sorted according to tier? Did you have one stack bundled for pre-screen with the other stack bundled separately?
  17. SPAWN-BATMAN - CGC 9.8 - SIGNED BY FRANK MILLER AND TODD MCFARLANE I've explained this before, but I really took the time to window the books for prime signature placement. I also requested specific ink colors. Things didn't always turn out the way I planned, but many times they did. See how the font on the cover is silver for Miller and gold for Todd? Now notice the signature inks. Also, the placement. Batman was on top...so was Miller's sig. The twin sigs make something special of an otherwise non-spectacular book (sold about a billion copies, very common in high grade).
  18. I thought imaging was now automatically performed on all books. Why the extra 10 day delay?
  19. I'm not certain. My guess is that there was no difference. There were more than enough copies floating around to end up in giveaways, and the VHS was released back in 1992. I seriously doubt there was a special printing. @Lobstrosity Maybe Trent will know?
