  1. Correct, it cannot. Because I own most of the known copies
  2. Nice haul but that Teen Titans looks out of place with all the other books. Must have been a throw in ! . It's my favorite copper book. I dare you to read it I've read it many times. I do read comics....I'm not Brad.
  3. Although - and this may be the exception that proves the rule - the legendary New Mutants 98 10.0 was found in the wild. Foolkiller pulled it out of a box at a show. Im fairly certain it was pressed though.... ? It was pressed that's correct. However, I also submitted five MOS 18s, and got 3 9.9s, those were unpressed, mostly because I thought they were 9.8s and pressing wouldn't have done anything more to improve them. You have more luck any anyone I know of Yes, the harder he works to find books, the luckier he gets. Crazy, that correlation.... I think the original remark was in regards to submitting unpressed books and getting three 9.9's in the same batch. They were the copies at the bottom of stack 1 on pallet 28 in section 4 of his basement and pressed by the thousands of books on top of them . If you buy like Brian does you will have a lot of nice books. Have you been to my place recently?! Sounds VERY similar to my setup... ?
  4. What distinguishes a Valiant Newsstand? The barcode will read "newsstand sales" instead of "direct sales" ?
  5. Well, thats really a shame. Im sure if you knew me personally, you'd think otherwise I show 1 example of a great purchase and I am now a hated braggart lowballer. I suppose Ill have to find some way of living that down.... I don't think anyone would have a "problem" if you pulled this out of a $0.50 bin and just paid the asking price. I think what some are taking issue with is that it was ALREADY a "steal" of a price and you felt the need to haggle over a quarter when you knew the book was worth hundreds of dollars. To be honest, there shouldnt BE a problem regarding how much was paid for the book; the seller was content selling a volume of books at a discount of his asking price and the transaction was concluded amicably.
  6. Sell the Venom to me cheap, then you won't have to worry about it. I have thought VERY HARD about doubling my investment; my financial advisor said I should holdout for a more substantial return.......and a round at 3Floyds ?

  8. Although this was picked up at a small local con, I thought Id show off a bit... .25, haggled down from .50..... It was like finding a Golden Ticket!!!!

  10. I wouldn't have had a problem with the post if it had been more accurate and not trying to rip people off into thinking that only a few copies were out there. Be honest from the start and say that over 100 were sold, don't imply that it's in the dozen area, and then let people bid accordingly. Seems like the only ones with their panties in a bunch are you and the Comic BS I guy who won't be able to gouge potential suckers So here is the skinny.... A case of 200 copies was at the show, I know because I saw the case. 100 copies were to be signed and put aside, for what I believe was the comicbox people; the other 100 copies went to Glenn and his art rep Andy(not Alex as youve said; she was a copsplayer hanging around them all weekend). By 3:30pm on Sunday, there were 0 copies left of the 100. How many virgin copies were printed in total? I have not a clue. I only know how many copies were made available to the public at WWPhilly, and that is 100.
  11. True dat! Andys supply of great buys just never seems to end
  12. I found a copy of theXmen 302 variant at a local show about a year ago, paid a whopping $.16 for it ?
