  1. I got the chance to meet Kevin Eastman at the new Orleans Comic-con last weekend. I walked up and asked if he had any art pages with him and he handed me his book. Thanks to Andy Kuhn for letting me use his table so I didnt hold up the line. Kevin had some really nice pages but I was really blown away bythe prices. I asked about this page and he said it was a variant cover for the new Turtles title "Secret history of the Foot Clan" I havent seen the whole cover published yet but the cover to issue #1 Hastings variant has a part of the pencils on it. Either way I really like this cover. here is a link to my entire haul from the show New Orleans 2012
  2. What do you concider a "good" zombie page? Does it have to have more then one zombie?...a zombie death?...a zombie eating a character?
  3. I am a collector...not a speculator. I was lucky enough to buy two pages right before the big boom in the market. I was lucky enough to get the double page spread of Carl getting shot and a page from the action that followed with both Rick and Michone killing zombies. I honostly didnt know the size of the pages until I opened the package and had to do a double take. Had I known the size it still wouldnt have had any impact on my decision to buy the pages. I have had several really tempting offers for the pages...mainly for the Carl pages. But since I bought the pages for my collection not for resale I politely declined. I do feel that once the show ends those offeres will be much lower. I dont feel that the bottom will drop out but it will be more of a realignment of the prices people will be willing to pay.
  4. I still have my entire Walking Dead run ready for CGC but I really want to get them signed first....so I'm really hoping Kirkman would make the trip to the new Orleans Wizard show. The last Wizard show down here had the kid who played Carl on the show and I really wanted him to sign and maybe pose with the pages I have from the book with Carl getting shot but the pages didnt get here in time.
  5. I just got these in the mail today from the artist Tradd Moore...both are from issue 3 of Luther Strode
  6. They are expensive but its really hard to find great zombie pages .
  7. Yup....that was me.....I bought the Carl page from them...petits papiers.... and I have since bought several more pages.
  8. I just got back from my LCS. I was suprised by how many WD books he had. I found two copies of #53. He has issues#8-18 on the wall for $25 each and pretty much every book from 20-81 in the box. Nothing from "No where out" on.
  9. I missed out on Chew. Now i'm trying to play catch up. Looking for a Chew #1 first print. Doesnt have to be perfect since its never going to be sold or graded. Just looking for my personal collection. I sent a PM to the ever powerful Branget if he had any to spare to a fellow boardie but I guess when your as omnipotent as him it is easy to overlook the little guys....
  10. It will make her sketches and commissions worth that much more
  11. That would have been sweet if the matte was done by Pollack.....but then the matte would be worth more then the art.....
  12. The splatter is heavier on the wound side then on the right side...nice effect. I wasnt sure how it would turn out at first and you should have seen the face of the framer when I told them what I wanted.....It was the first comic art they had ever done and didnt even know what the Walking Dead was.....
  13. Just got it back from the framer today. I think it turned out great. I had the framer splatter alittle red paint on the matte to brighten it up and I am really pleased with how it came out. They used museum glass and all archival paper. The price was great.
  14. Here is a hard to find one. I think its the first apperance of V for Vendetta and the first reapperance of Marvelman
  15. I know people are getting sick of Walking Dead but I just got my new page in the mail....great page showing Rick...and his stub....and Michonne killing some Zombies
