  2. It is non-standard size and smaller. My guess would be 6 x 8 in dimensions.
  3. Was very fortunate to pick up this original cover art before Alex Ross gained too much notoriety. It is the original cover art to the special edition fifth book of Kingdom Come, "Revelations". As I don't have a lot of artwork, I'm not sure how to estimate the value. Was curious if there were any estimates from those more familiar with original artwork. Thanks, Seth.
  4. Probably one of the hardest to find rare moderns is Fables#6 RRP 9.8. Hasn't been one available in this condition in years, but would likely fetch ~$1.2-$1.5k Also, if someone has one in 9.8, ping me.
  5. There are no official numbers posted for these as they were supposed to be promotional copies only. Looks like Batman 608 was estimated to be around 400 and the other two RRPs from that year (Fables and Global Frequency) around 200 each. Nobody knows for sure, however. I have been collecting Fables 6 RRPs since 2002, and I can tell you, very few have become available. My guess is most, or at least half, of the original 200 were never saved and probably tossed as RRPs were not fully seen as collectible yet. http://www.recalledcomics.com/Fables6RRP.php
  6. Global Frequency #1 RRP, 2002 limited to 200 copies Batman #608 RRP, 2002 - limited to 200 copies Fables#6 RRP, 2002 - limited to 200 copies (my personal favorite of the ultra-limited, as I have collected 16 of these copies now)
  7. Releasing a one-of-a-kind treasure from my collection... Just listed a screen worn costume piece worn by Patrick Stewart from X-Men (2000) first worn in the scene in his office where he meets Logan. I picked it up from 20th Century Fox after the first X-Men movie, figured Logan would be a fitting ending to let it go... Have no idea the value so I listed it as a five day no-reserve auction starting at a penny... If anyone is interested...check it out! http://www.ebay.com/itm/-/122387475104
  8. http://www.ebay.com/itm/-/122387475104 Screen Worn Costume by Patrick Stewart portraying Professor X in the movie X-Men. This is a No-Reserve auction starting at 1 cent. Own a piece of movie memorabilia, as this is the screen-worn shirt worn by Patrick Stewart (Professor X) when he meets Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) for the first time in X-Men (2000). It is the primary shirt that was used in the film and in many production photos. This item was auctioned directly from 20th Century Fox in 2000 and includes a letter from Alan J Adler, Executive Director of Fox Archives, and certificate of authenticity. In 2000, the movie X-Men was the first blockbuster comic movie that has sparked a generation of comic movies. The iconic relationship between Professor X and Wolverine has been featured in six movies over the past two decades. The Logan movie will be the final onscreen meeting between Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart in their respective roles. Here is your chance to own a piece of movie history. Good luck and happy bidding!
  9. Blue 9.8 available with just over four days left... http://www.ebay.com/itm/122198398012?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  10. I once had 18 RRPs bought in the first few weeks (12 eventually graded out at 9.8) but after todays sale I am down to 5 blues...
  11. Congrats! Packing up your treasure today and will mail it tomorrow... Seth
  12. Yeah, blue 9.8s are getting more rare as so many are getting converted to yellows.
  13. I sold one for $1200 before prices moved downwards a while back but I've been estimating that these are moving to the next demand level. Don't think they will be coming back to the sub $1200 prices anytime soon...
  14. I sold two copies at ~$1200 at the peak. Although it has come down, I have seen activity the past couple of weeks suggesting it is rising back to the $700+ range. There was a glut of supply that has seemed to taper off recently. Just listed a blue 9.8 on eBay for $899 OBO. Will see what kind of interest it generates... Seth
  15. I just accepted $1200 for one of my blue label CGC 9.8 Saga RRPs, which I think will briefly set a new high for this version. Hard to believe we are now in this range considering what these sold for just two months ago...
  16. The census says there are only 17 Blue CGC 9.8s or Saga 1 RRP, but I am guessing that is not right. I have 11 by myself plus have seen maybe a dozen more sell in the past year. Anyone else think these numbers are understated?
  17. I think if the blue hits 1100 someone will pull the trigger and get the yellow. Yellow sold at $1500...
  18. Sorry Jeff. When you said, 'what's the plan with the Y cover', I was still operating under the idea that we didn't have an agreed price. When you mentioned the 'shame' we didn't go with the original deal, that was the first time I knew you thought otherwise. Again, sorry for the miscommunication. I am even more sorry that you felt burned by me than the fact it cost me $1000. Okay, I am done now. Seth
  19. I did feel bad, because I like you and don't like the idea that you thought I screwed you. That said, my feel bad quickly changed to 'screw' it when it became apparent that there was no possible way for you to view this as a miscommunication between us, but that the only possible answer was that I was a who intentionally set out to screw you. Okay, deep breath. I am sorry Jeff. I apologize and take ownership for the miscommunication. I am glad you were able to get another YTLM cover and that my error didn't prevent you from building out your collection. Seth
  20. We never agreed to any price or terms on the second cover when we met in person. That said, here is the exact PM I sent you in March 24th of 2012, "We are closing on a new home shortly and I might be forced to sell my other YTLM cover. If I auction it, I will give you a heads up first." There is nothing in that post that indicates I think we have a done deal, nor did you respond 'yes' when I made the $3750 offer after nobody bid on the auction. In fact, it sat for nearly six months after the auction (from March to August) and you never contacted me about the painting (kinda weird if you really thought we had agreed on a deal?). I have no PMs indicating you had accepted the offer, sorry if you felt otherwise. if I had really thought that we had, I would have taken it and moved on... Seth
  21. Checking my PMs, here is what I wrote back in March of last year when I decided I would be auctioning the second painting, "Jeff - I am thinking about doing an auction beginning at $5k for this painting in the hopes that this one has greater value than the first. I might be crazy for thinking it would, but I have seen a lot of people claim this as one of their favorite covers from the series. If it doesn't sell at or above that amount, I would offer it to you at $3750 before relisting the auction." The only thing I heard back from you after that PM was "Is this going up for auction?" and "Please let me know if this goes up for sale." I took both of those comments to mean that you were going to bid like you did on the first art but I didn't take that to mean an acceptance of the $3750 offer. Believe me, I would have preferred that since it only went for $2800. This is your sandbox, Jeff. I just stopped by to take a mess in it I guess. Time to shake my feet and move on. Seth
  22. Maybe I did royally screw this up. I am a newbie at this, but at least let me share how I approached it. I wasn't intending on selling my YTLM covers. After I showed up on these boards and mentioned it, I got a ton of PMs asking me to do a deal. I had two people that were in the upper $3ks for the piece. I didn't reveal their names to each other, but asked them what would be the fairest way to go about selling the art, without me risking it going less than $3750 (which was my minimum at the time to part with it). Both responded that an ebay auction would be the most fair way to go. I was surprised when at the end of the auction, only one of the people who PM'd me bid on the art and that it went at the original $3750 ask. I saw what it 'looked' like I had done in the end, but it certainly wasn't what I expected. Since that auction, I only start auctions at a penny now and just let it go for whatever the market deems the value to be. For the second painting, I did finally list it at a penny with no reserve. If Jeff feels burned by that original transaction of $3750, I would gladly purchase it back for the amount paid (I do miss having a YTLM cover). I wasn't trying to be shady and thought the auction was being 'open' but guess that didn't pan out like I thought it would. Man, feels like I walked back into a hornets nest. Didn't even realize that people had been feeling this way about me...kinda sucks. Seth
  23. The situation as I remember it: I mentioned I had multiple YTLM original covers. You and several others PM'd me asking to buy one. I listed one on eBay saying I thought it was the only fair way to know the value. You won the first auction and I hand delivered the art to you. During the handoff, I told you I would let you know if I was ever going to sell the second one I owned. Later that year I PM'd you, letting you know I was going to sell the second cover on eBay. At that time, you seemed upset at me because you thought we had arranged a deal after the first sale, but we never set a price, terms, and the only thing I remember committing to was that I would give you a 'heads up' if I decided to sell it. I did auction it and it went for less than the first cover and you could have had it if you wanted it. I like you Jeff, and am actually really sorry that you feel burned by our interaction. If I could go back, I would have made extra sure that you knew my promise was only to give you notice about the sale, and not a promise to only sell it to you. At the time, I really had no intentions of selling it and am sorry if I communicated something different. Hope you can forgive me. Seth
  24. In that case, I might have needed to call Nico to represent my case, as I believe he is a lawyer (surprised?). Probably wouldn't win any verdicts, but the courtroom drama would be worth it. Seth
