Bought item on 4/16/15. After buying, sends message asking if it's ok to wait till May 4th to pay. I agree. May 4th comes around, no payment. Multiple unresponsive messages later, non-paying case opened.

I've had people back out of purchases before, but at least they respond to my messages.

    Quite frustrating.

  2. Why'd you think they'd sell for less HR?

I think they sold lower for a few reasons:

1 - money not going to a charity (auctions for charites receive a bump in price)

    2 - lower grades (i.e. not 9.8).

Those two reasons (mainly #1). I thought most would end in the 300-500 range when first announced. Not the 700-1500 range.

Edit: Also, because if i'm not in it for the registry, there are 109 blanks and soon to be 115 blanks that I can get a cool sketch on and pay way less. Now that the books are in the hands of re-sellers and not a charity, i'd rather pay $ directly to an artist to draw something.

  3. That Kweon HI cover is listed and holy god is it sitting at a high BIN. Don't get me wrong it's a gorgeous book but when the proceeds aren't going to charity and its a 7.5 grade, I think the majority will be passing.

    This.............+1,000,000

Original price was over 3K. I'd be willing to bet after getting a 7.5 he'd take an offer just to get his purchase price back. I don't think any of these things will be selling for more than their original cost except for possibly the registry people looking for a 9.8.

  4. I think HI can report him and get it removed. I think the listings said something like "we can't guarantee the CGC grade."

He also has a few backhanded positives as well. as the lame "oops, bought this by accident" BS.

    What was the grade? 9.2 9.4 9.6 ?

    And yes, tool.

    Nevermind.... found it

Disheartening getting CGC back and its 9.4 paying 400 n fair market value is 200

    doh! and :tonofbricks: and :boo:

Based on the other stuff he's been buying, he's either into some weird stuff or he works at Medieval Times

  5. This comic is for a Amazing Fantasy reprint only, not an original, pictures listed for the item do not represent the item sold nor do they represent the comic in anyway. Bidder/Buyer accepts that he/she as read the full description of this listing before placing a bid and accepts that no legal action will be taken on the winning bidders/buyers part. Good luck!

    lololol :whee:

Yeah, that'll hold up in court. :insane:

  6. I think my favourite part of this Elvishaha character is that he uses that user name on other websites where he reveals pretty detailed information about himself.

Please, can we make this a house of cards thread? I want home photos and photoshop awesomeness

  7. So this guy is in my store an hour ago selling me some Magic cards and he looks up on the wall and sees some Walking Dead comics. He says "I had no idea those were worth that"...He said he bought the first 20 issues when they came out.and tells me about the #1 that he threw away 2 weeks ago because it had been sitting in his car for months. Says he thought he might still have one of the issues in his car. So he brings this back in....

possibly the worst copy out there. The pages are stuck together and it's stiff as a board. What a shame! He left and said he was going to look for the other 19 at home!

It'll be listed on eBay as "NM with a press" by tomorrow.
