  1. Giving this a thread a bump with this news. Finally a reprinting that people thought would never happen. https://www.marvel.com/articles/comics/rom-the-spaceknights-all-new-omnibus-collections
  2. A MEGA buy for me also. There's a few variant editions but think I'll go with the Standard issue 1 cover or the issue 1 splash variant.
  3. I don't really have much that isn't posted online but I have a few. This is the cover to issue 16 of the current Moon Knight series by Stephen Segovia. Really enjoying the current series.
  4. Great piece! I've wanted a specific page from that issue for a while now ever since I read it. I've haven't seen any pages for that issue but one come up for sale for years now too. I remember it was either going after that or one of the unpublished covers to ROM #1 with them both ending at the same price. I went with the ROM piece.
  5. Some more old pieces I never got around to uploading onto my caf. The first is from Detective Comics 1024 and the from 1032. Both with pencils done by Brad Walker and inks by Andrew Hennessy.
  6. That sold page might have also been cheaper than the available one too which is another thing that can stop people. Hard to justify today's prices when you see yesterday's right next to it.
  7. A reason I stopped browsing a while ago was because a lot of the "new items" weren't even new but older inventory that had been on the site for a while and was just getting refreshed to the top of the results.
  8. I haven't done any trades with collectors in the hobby but think it could be an enjoyable experience as long as both parties are fair in the valuing of the pieces. I've been offered trade before but have turned it down in the since I didn't see the offers as being equal to what I had price wise or because it was something that I wasn't interested in. If you ever want to trade ROM Spaceknight or Fanfare pinups pieces though please hit me up!
  9. Lol the guy used my ROM splash as the cover and seems to have used some other pages in the book too. Cool to see.
  10. In the few instances of winning something from them, I've always kept the shipping material to reuse. They really make sure to pack it in.
  11. I've gotten inquires in the past usually for the same few pieces. Never a lowball offer since they never actually give a number and more just ask if I would be open to selling and if I would be interested in a trade. I've never taken up any of the offers so far since I really love everything I have-more so for what gets asked about.
  12. I've actually had this piece since last year but realized I never got around to posting it. First Joker piece and a good one at that. With how popular Batman is and how much art for him is out their I'm surprised I don't have more of him represented in my collection.
  13. That Darkhawk cover at almost $4k was a pretty strong result. Not even by Manley which means their must really be a demand for it.
  14. Really impressed with the sale of this Deadpool page from Sins of Future's Past. Pages for this were going for a fraction just two years ago. If this is what prices are now I'm glad I was able to get my example when I did. https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/story-page/ian-churchill-and-w-c-carani-deadpool-4-story-page-11-original-art-marvel-1994-/a/7279-95163.s?ic2=mytracked-lotspage-lotlinks-12202013&tab=MyTrackedLots-101116
  15. Got The Question omni in the mail yesterday and love it. Really makes me wish DC would reprint more of their less known character series from that period. Their Dr. Fate series from the late 80s for example with the 4 issue mini that was the runup to it would be at the top of the list.
  16. We have a high amount of NYC and North Jersey people here.
  17. Yeah it's really weird especially when their art is is in such high demand. Guess they too it for time constraints or because it allows them to sell the ones they do do normally for a higher price because of the scarcity? Also, that page isn't mine and was meant to be shown as an example of his work. Wasn't sure if that was clear looking at the post now. I however might be able to post something soon though.
  18. Jim mentioned that when looking at pieces he's interested in he runs them by different people on their opinions to see what they might go for and that any client of heritage can do this for an auction piece with it not being unique to him. That's interesting because I realized that it seems to be a unique practice to Heritage where they are willing to tell you their internal estimates of lots you're interested in while I remember asking Clink about that for a piece before and they told me they don't do that because they believe it can affect the auction price. To me that doesn't make sense since it just means I probably won't be bidding on that piece since I don't know I'll need to budget for or what I might be willing to sell to fund to go after it.
  19. Wow that's a pretty interesting way to make a cover. Congrats on getting your top pick though. Sure is gonna being tough if someone ever decides that they want to put this cover back together.
  20. I really like, Alessandro Cappuccio, an Italian artist who's currently working for Marvel on the new Moon Knight series. A lot of his stuff is digital but he does do a few pages traditionally with a ton of people wanting one. I think publicly he's only sold 5 pieces total though his rep and one of them wasn't even published. They all sold within in minutes of the drop. There's only one page on CAF and that wasn't one of the pieces offered at his drop so I guess a few might have been sold when a big offer was made at the one con he's been to in the US so far. Here's one of the pages that got offered as an example of his work.
  21. I've been lucky to get some my my goals done early on especially ones at the top when I first started. the Issue is I keep making new goals and pieces I would like to have whenever I read both back issues and new releases! Completed Grail- ROM Space knight #1 Title Splash (Along with a lot of pages from it that I wanted too.) Deadpool covers from the first series- Was able to get both a McGuinness and a McDaniel cover from issues 3 and 18 Deadpool cover by Jason Pearson Bill Sinkevich Moon Knight page*- Sold to fund the ROM purchase. One of the Marvel Fanfare Pinups I had on my wantlist. Manley Darkhawk page Ditko piece Star Wars: Crimson Empire page A few other pieces which I saw in books and thought that I would love to have. Not just for the images but the dialogue and layout which I thought was done very well.
  22. Was able to add this piece to my collection. Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Master Edition #25 Deadpool character profile. pencils and inks by Keith Pollard and Joe Rubinstein.
  23. Are the Micronauts in the same legal limbo as ROM is when it comes to property rights? I know they both came about in the same process when Marvel started doing comics based on toy properties but not sure if the Hasbro-Marvel issues are only for ROM or all of the toy properties they did in that period?
