I Mean I got hope in logjam clearing, it just wont be fast. The only fast solution is if they put a moratorium on the damn InHouse signings. And we all know THAT aint happening.

I agree. It is extremely frustrating to have multiple shipments delivered, only to have them sit for close to a month before being marked and recorded as received. Then, while waiting, to receive two or three "in house signing announcements" encouraging more books to be sent in to the abyss. As a business person, it really flies in the face of customer care IMHO.

I did not think to write EX  or WT etc on the box (sent USPS Registered).  Delivered (per USPS tracking) to CGC on Tuesday 3/2....just showed up in my submissions, marked Received 3/23.

So, save yourself 3 weeks time, by writing EX or WT on the box.  Lesson learned....

I have 2 delivered on 3/2 that also showed up today.

I find it hard to believe people are still sending books in at this rate.(shrug)

I keep going back and forth in my mind. If times stay like this is it better to send in and get them in the process or wait on the chance things get better soon. I am betting on the former.

Thanks, this has never happened before, so when did your actual tracking update in the usps system as "delivered?"

Almost 10 days after it was "available for pickup" at post office. It had an exception saying "action required or it will be returned" which prompted me to contact CGC. That is how I got the information. They assured me they had it and it would not be returned by the post office. They were correct.  It has since been listed as received and in my account.

Should I be concerned that I have books sitting in the Sarasota post office for 4 days "available for pick up" sitting undelivered to CGC?

Is it possible that CGC picked up the books but no one ever scanned them as "delivered?"

No worries, happened to me. CGC has own "post office" where they are sitting just not scanned in. I had it explained when I had same concern. All was fine and in fact it was scanned delivered exactly on day cgc told me it would be scanned delivered.

Modern Fast Track submission (no press)

    Arrived : 1/30

    Marked as received: 2/8

Turnaround time on 2/8 : 12 working days

Today, it’s been 12 working days since it was marked as “received” by CGC and it still hasn’t moved from this status...

TAT was 12 days but bumped up to 15 days last week. I am in the same boat. That puts the completion date as next Tuesday.

well my mechanical errors "shipped" yesterday, but the "finalized/shipped" link on the status portion under my subs

isn't a "link" to tracking, it's just a the words finalized/shipped, with no hyper link to tracking :(

And USPS hasn't even opened nor delivered since last week here in Dallas because of the weather.......

I sold something last Monday on ebay and haven't been able to mail it, good thing that I have 3 day handling time on my listing

Still I've messaged the buyer, with no response on how they feel, nor a response at all :( even though they paid immedieately and I haven't been able to update with tracking :(

I have seen that before when it has not yet left the facility or physically shipped. Most times it is future dated. For example I have had some marked "finalized/shipped" on a Friday, with a Monday date and the link does not become actionable until Monday.

That is correct. I talked to them yesterday as I was concerned with an email I received saying my package would be returned. They told what you said  they have their "Post Office" the notice is an automated response from the USPS. Nothing will be returned. They did confirm they are 2 weeks behind.

Update: The package was marked as delivered by USPS yesterday as CGC indicated it would.

Hi:   My understanding from reading several posts by CGC (in the ask CGC forum) is that CGC has their own Post Office Annex. Therefore when a box is "Delivered to Post Office" CGC has it and is placed in their vault.  They normally take approximately 2 weeks to open the box and enter into the CGC system as "received" status (unless Walkthru/Express).  They open the received boxes in order (sorta of) they were delivered.  I think opening time period is the same whether sent UPS/USPS/Fedex.

    Hope this helps.

My worry is the potential for packages getting misplaced within the USPS facility if they start running out of room in one section due to an overflow of boxes.

Yeah, that is my worry too. They could at least pick up the shipments and load them in. I think I will email and ask them when they plan on picking up, and see what they say.....

I'm in Va. and sent a Priority flat to a friend on Wednesday afternoon and he got it the next day in Indiana. Things may be on the mend... at least around here. GOD BLESS...

... a USPS clerk that I've become friends with over the years told me that some of the Passports he was involved with took 30 days to finally arrive by Priority mail during the Holiday season.

I am in Philly area and I am also seeing any new shipments returning to closer to normal delivery times. I am also seeing that they are taking the usual routes.

So I don't buy books very often these days, just picking the odd one up now and again.

That said, this book I have been after for years! I finally got my hands on one, and I have to say it's beautiful for the grade. The colours really pop and the overall structure of the book is very sound.

This puppy is going in the kennel with the other pups. My two favourite covers in the run are 5 & 6.  :cloud9:
