  1. Any luck selling any other issues besides #1? Haven't tried, but I'm always buying HG copies. I don't think I've ever sold a copy of the Tick, but a board member sold me an 8.5 #1 recently and then yesterday while looking for something else I found a stack of issues I'd put away. Also have a new 50 long box A-Z indie collection that has some Ticks. So I can see that I may actually sell a Tick or ten Ticks this year. Just remember though after NEP Tick 1-6 (first prints), they are just about . . . worth cover price.
  2. (thumbs u Which of course, is why you should accumulate the hella outta 2nd Apps. (thumbs u
  3. You forgot another big one - Deadpool These three titles are great to take to shows as they put you in the black at shows. (thumbs u It didn't fit the theme. Deadpool is only one word. Ok: Dead Pool.
  4. I pick it up just for the cover (never realized it was 2nd X or early Y) whenever I see it in the bargain bins. By that time, I was out of collecting. For close to two decades, I didn't buy a single comic.
  5. Thats nothing if youre asking me... As soon as Tick will get a 2nd (or 3rd) life you watch raws selling for 100 regularly. You're a living contradiction. Btw, there's a huge difference between selling books and talking about selling books.

  8. Preacher 1-13 continue to sell very well in HG: Preacher 8
  9. (thumbs u I entirely agree too. That's truly very sentimental, and I understand what you're saying . . . but Stan Lee is not your mother.
  10. Amen to everything said right here! Except that even though it was a year in time, it really wasn't. New Mutants ended at 100 . . . that's only two issues And it's not a ret-con, if the character is only defined by a brief appearance in one previous issue. It's more like a blind date.
  11. All guys with two first names are gay . . .
  12. Then you are behind I've been called behind, or little big behind my whole life. Fixed that for ya!
  13. I'm curious as to how you come up with your prices. Do you keep raising the number until you get to a point where no one reasonable would pay it? Not being facetious here. Obviously there are enough unreasonable people out there for this strategy to make money, as you like to remind us in the heating up threads. There are plenty of collectors out there who realize to get quality HG books, you have to pay the price. A good many of my books get sold to SS flippers (who actually need the book before they can have it signed and flip it for three to four times more). You don't seem to take issue with any of those sellers (many of whom reside here). Anyone who has actually bought from me (now there's a concept for you) knows they're getting the real deal, plain and simple.
  14. It looks like most, if not all, of the reference sites have listed #8 as her first appearance. For a while, some listed #8 while others listed #11 - some even broke it down by "first appearance in flashback" (#8) and "first appearance" (#11). I wouldn't be surprised if CGC begins to recognize #8 as her first appearance. "They" could actually benefit from reading a comic or two, now and then.
  15. It's X-Force 8 and don't let anyone tell you otherwise . . .
  16. you, TV . I'm not sure why you always get so upset about stuff . . . perhaps you need to up your meds?
  17. That does seem pretty low to me. It might be because it's a niche book and they listed it as an auction. Those that search for it might not have seen it that week. I would think a BIN could command some decent money. I have never seen that book before . . . Thanks!
  18. Detective Comics #523 is his 1st cameo appearance. Batman #357 is the 1st full appearance. You are tracking accurately. If I say it once, I'll say it a thousand times . . . brief first appearances are not cameos.
  19. Flaming Carrot #16 - first appearance - There are 7 total copies on the CGC census... all grades. I still believe Mystery Men would be a box office hit today... after we've all seen Avengers and other superhero movies.... because it takes the serious superhero movie and makes it fun/parody with star actors. The problem with Mystery Men is that it was making fun of the comic book movies before we all had seen a bunch of comic book movies. Ahem . . . and who do you have to thank for the two 9.8s?
