  1. Eternals 13 in a 9.8 took the biggest dive selling for as much as 3k at one point. Now at $150
  2. I asked cuz i didnt see anyone buy it in the post and i was only in the quantum realm for 5 mins. Anyone hav this book pls hit me up within the next decade
  3. First off thank you so much for making these posts. Very informative and has helped me greatly! I noticed in the 2nd updated list you left out #18 1st app of Ziran the Tester. Is it because upon further reading you felt it was not his 1st app? Also, what do you make of #13 especially in a 9.8 which has only 14 in existence? Does it warrant the price tag of 3x any other Eternals in a 9.8? Is it tht rare? #18 in a 9.8 only has 20 in a 9.8 but goes for $500. #18 also has a dark cover and should be in the category of low dist since towards the end the book was in its lowest readership. Let me know your thoughts.
  4. Im assuming 18 is still Ziran's 1st appearance? These are all 1st app none are cameos?
  5. oh I forgot to address the market value, Avgrs is hyped cuz of the 1st app of the Liberators. And then Val values started going up due to the movie hype and the Defenders 1st app and Hulk 1st app rose up to equal the avgrs 83. essentially they caught up and lets see if they surpass. So you are right its not currently apparent since they are almost all equal but 2nd and 3rd place appearances just rose up to catch up
  6. well you have to have read the actual book to know what an imposter is. Im my first post that tackles this I said 1st appearances of the costume or character are not valued as much as when the real character has his true identity. In the Cap example, it was a character named the Acrobat that had on Cap's uniform and was disguised as Cap. Imposter. Stan was test marketing to see if he should bring Cap back into the silver age. Book is not as valuable as the Avgrs 4 which is his true 1st app silver age. I brought up Valkyrie but it only applies to the Avgrs 83. In Avgrs 83, which should be her 1st app is really the Enchantress disguised as her. Imposter. The two other appearances are actually 1st app of her from two different women who Valkyrie chose to come into. I dont know, maybe hulk 180 and 181? maybe the fact that those who look for keys drive up the value of certain books?
  7. Avengers #83 (1970); (Samantha as Valkyrie) Incredible Hulk #142 (1971); (Enchantress disguised as Valkyrie) Defenders #4 (1973) (Brunnhilde as Valkyrie) All relatively worth the same though Avengers 83 is a more popular issue because its also the 1st appearance of the Liberators but I dont even know if they ever appeared again so it could be their 1st and last LOL. But pricewise, high grade is scarce and have gone for similar prices though sporadic.
  8. Thanks for the clarification. I must have clicked on the wrong issue. I thought 1 submission was crazy but wouldnt have been surprised. Well at least we know 58 submissions were sent in. Still valid point but much more realistic. Thx Geeks!
  9. Nope just a person who can say, Anyone who thinks Liefeld had nothing to do with #8 can delete their comments and just say Liefeld is trying to dictate where the 1st appearance of Domino should be(#11) even though it will always be #8 even if the market backs up #11
  10. Ya, it looks like Liefeld was the still the writer and creative force on #8
  11. cant believe this got complicated cuz Liefeld and cgc created this issue(pun intended). Though there is a lot of disagreement which is sad cuz you would have thought that the 1st appearance formula would have been solved by now, I think Liefeld is cheating. I'll give him a pass on NM 98 since we have had that before with Capt America in Strange Tales 114 was not actually Cap but the Acrobat(I know it was mentioned before by someone pretty intelligent as apples and oranges but lets just take the similarities here) and then with Valkyrie in Avengers 83 but she was really the Enchantress. The market says imposters dont count as much. But in this case, Liefeld is trying to say is flashbacks dont count. Which defies logic cuz what if we said Wolverines 1st appearance in Hulk 181(not cameo 180) was a flashback in the storyline? God forbid it be a dream sequence. Because Liefeld is playing Marvel Universe god, he is telling us that he only counts things that are not flashbacks. And CGC is playing that same role by legitimizing it in the marketplace. Based on 1st appearance rules in all of Marvel history, Xforce 8 should be the 1st appearance. AND furthermore, to illustrate the power of CGC, since they deem Xforce 11 as the 1st appearance, there have been 1261 submissions for #11 to be graded at cgc in which 806 are 9.8. guess how many #8s have been submitted and are 9.8? ONE and it graded 9.8. #8 is a ghost town folks
  12. Wow, very unique situation. Showing the powers yet not using it in hero form. Kinda like half the appearance story.
  13. Thx for posting this info as it brings up another variable besides the factor of rarity on the tta 27 driving up price. The factor is cgc labeling and sending the market to this issue and increasing demand. You are again correct as the labeling is completely inconsistant and i would add incorrect as how can it be the 1st app of ant man when its only hank pym. This really makes me 35 for my collection if they ever correct this. Im gonna read 27 to verify its only hank in tht issue. Thx aggiez!
  14. Aggiez, I like your posts on this subject and tend to agree as does the market. The only devil's advocate I would bring up as a question are the factors regarding the TTA example. Is the rarity of that book making Henry Pym's 1st app more of the value than the Ant Man app. If it is the main factor than it may not be a good example to compare in this situation. I havent looked at the cgc registry to confirm this so any research would be welcomed. I think the Carol Danvers example is more fitting.
