  1. Is there a way to sort CC comic auctions by era/age? For example, at both Heritage and Comic Link I can choose to page through only Golden age books. Is there an easy way to do this - that I don't see - so that I can see what Golden Age books are up in the monthly auction without having to page through thousands of comics?
  2. Wow. some nice copies here! I only have a couple mid-grade copies - paid about $300 each 10 years ago!
  3. Nice. Great looking book - and even better price! (for the seller)
  4. If CC/CL and Heritage both have the same book, with the exact same CGC grade, then I will bid less on the book on Heritage because of the extra buyer's fee, which most people take into account - so that my FINAL, REAL purchase price is the roughly the same on either site after taking into account the Heritage vig. While it's possible that if someone bids similarly on both sites (without factoring in the buyer's premium) because they don't understand the process, and that drives the total purchase price a little higher, it is the auction house - not the seller - that is making more.
  5. This is one of my all time favorite covers - and I'm not even a Sub Mariner fan. I always put in token bids for this issue, but WAY out of my price range though....
  6. For really high dollar books, Heritage. For more typical Golden age, I think you are better off as the seller with CL or CC due to the much lesser house take.
  7. thanks. I will post to that thread and avoid further here. I didn't mean to duplicate!
  8. I didn't mean to start a new topic on this. I had searched for the connect thread, and didn't get any recent results - didn't realize I had to look almost a month back! I don't like the BP idea at all. I tolerate it at Heritage, because I figure it pays for the nice catlaogs, GPA links, the GREAT website with easy past auction searches as a price reference, etc - but not enthused about it at CC for what seems to be a vastly inferior web site, search, organization, etc. Seems a very poor idea - and I agree that they should have just made a deal with the seller for a reduced commission behind the scenes.
  9. I was just bidding on some books in the current Comic Connect auction, and see that many of them now also include a 15% Buyer's premium in addition to the bid. I've been used to factoring that in with Heritage in the past, but don't recall it with CC. Is this something new? It's possible I just haven't been paying attention...
