  1. My books were marked as received on 9/28/21 They arrived yesterday 8/30/22 I'm in Canada too, so likely have to travel a little further than yours.
  2. Now that I think about it, yeah, you are right, were held at least a month...Regardless, glad to have them back and there were no QC issues, slabs look good.
  3. FINALLY got mine back. Delivered yesterday and thankfully no QC issues. From received to return ship, just shy of a year! Thankfully, these were PC books but still what a poop show.
  4. Well, now that there is some kind of "official" stance from Marvel on these types of shenanigans, maybe CGC will change its stance "moving forward" based on publisher communications? Not likely, but maybe?
  5. I have slow track economy tier books marked as received 9/28/2021. How do I find out their status now that they are off the tracker? Do I have to call/email?
  6. Not sure if this has been posted yet but... https://bleedingcool.com/comics/marvel-did-not-approve-ultimate-fallout-4-acetate-covers-at-c2e2/ "Today, Bleeding Cool has been able to confirm that Marvel Comics did not approve Black Flag's addition of an acetate cover as a further variant, and it is also not something they would permit. I am sure David Gabriel SVP Print, Sales & Marketing at Marvel, is having fascinating conversations with Black Flag Comics right about now, while stopping copycat moves from other retailers. While retailer-exclusive covers have been popular in the market, publishers have to approve them for branding and taste issues, and to avoid possible controversies. Opening it up to anyone to amend covers in this way, and then sell them, is something Marvel will not allow." If Marvel does send a "cease and desist" to Black Flag citing copyright or some other issue (breach of contract, I have no idea) and the other ones get pulled, if the PUBLISHER of the actual comic forces that, what is CGC's stance on these frakenbooks then?
  7. ...I need some acetate covers now too to really make these books shine 😄
  8. I have had some more books come back from CGC from previous collections (forgot to post) but sales have been doing well. My battle is still finding time between work, life with a toddler and other every day stuff. I usually manage to find time in the evenings, hence sporadic journal postings as well. And time to create new listings. I recently had a collection directed my way from a contact. I picked up a nice Ultimate Spider-Man/Miles Morales themed collection. About 45 books total, not all shown but should give you an idea. I'm going to open both polybagged editions. Bags look ok so hoping books are too.
  9. Awhile back I picked up a large Spawn collection. Sold some. Sent some others in to CGC previously. Still have some. Decided to send a few more in for grading. So yeah, lots of Spawn! Note: the Spawn #143 is pristine, the scuff mark upper staple is scanner crud. May have to rescan that one.
  10. Also impossible to tell anything from those pics...Sure they look solid in the pic, but...Yeah, no way can grade anything from that. Maybe for your next sub, do a scan of front and back covers and post here in the Spare a Grade thread. Boardies may be able to help you see something you may have missed prior to sending to CGC.
  11. Back this week for me...Within expectations except the Thor #1's...Most of this is eBay bound (to help fund PC).
  12. I did not go but this was an article in our local newspaper. https://www.nugget.ca/entertainment/local-arts/star-studded-comic-con-worth-the-trek-to-niagara-falls ...The "article" is pretty light though to say the least. Also @Guardian Comics and @Iceman399 were set up there...Perhaps they would share some insights.
  13. What they have done to their customers with Economy is a real "dirty". By having SO many pre-1975 books just "sitting" somewhere, I guess they are not concerned with any potential increased liability exposure? My 8 books were opened and listed as scheduled for grading, so if the package was opened, where or how exactly are they being protected/stored? how are they keeping track, etc.? Just stacks and stacks and stacks of books in some warehouse?
  14. Maybe could put up a petition on Change.org? Free Economy Submissions Now!
  15. For me, the issue is that had I KNOWN what the real TAT was when I submitted, I would not have even bothered. I was fine to wait an extended period of time but the time now is crazy and basically books are being held as ransom in some void. And even worse as books have fallen off the tracker.
  16. I am sure this has been explained somewhere but WHY would books still requiring services that I paid for, fall off my submission tracking? Completed/shipped books I get, but active/pending books? C'mon man!
  17. My Economy submission fell off my CGC Submission Tracking Page
  18. I have missed including a few subs but latest modern sub.
  19. Next up to be removed from labels to improve effeciency based on feedback from prominent members of the collecting community...No Grade or PQ on the label! It's in the notes!
  20. Sellers on eBay may want to do themselves a favour and just include screen shot of grader notes now. Save the hassle of being asked for them...I always obliged but I really don't see ANY actual benefit to this decision...Other than more monies for CGC...
  21. That looks awesome. Who makes it, where did you pick it up?
  22. Looking for opinions. Book is complete. Nice interior pages, nothing missing or clipped (Marvel Value Stamp is there) or loose. Book lays flat. Thanks in advance!
  23. When going through the Previews, I almost always see there is a regular or DM only cover, at least with Marvel Omni's...I usually go with the one I like the best but is there any difference or even pitential difference in terms of "collectability" or "future value"?
