I sing for a hardcode band and cant afford to tour due to having a family. But I toured alot in my 20s.

Unfortunately not very impressive. BUT we did get to play some sweet gigs so far this year where nobody has been seriously injured, that parts pretty impressive.

    What band?

Perhaps I'm in the minority but a customer should not have to jump through hoops due to a company's neglect.

The expectation should be receiving a quality (or non-damaged) product -- not lining up vacations, contacting customer service, contacting them again when you're back home, because if something does happen the company doesn't stand behind it's product for longer than 2 weeks.

So... CGC should just know when you're on vacation?

    No, not even close.

For anybody that prefers to sell comics in larger quantities or through channels other than our online want list, our Seller Services department buys collections of any shape or size, based on whatever info you provide. Since that system doesn't involve individually reporting specific grades on each issue as part of the purchase process, there's never any friction or disagreement about grade. The seller gives us whatever info is appropriate: list, pictures, sometimes we travel for an in-person examination--and then we make an offer for the group. As long as our offer beats anybody else's the seller will likely choose to sell to us, and it doesn't matter how we'll eventually grade the comics.

Is there a minimum potential buy price or maximum mileage to have an in-person examination?

Pulps have not had the benefit of a Gerber Photo Journal book. Thusly, most are undiscovered. I see ones every day I never knew existed. Pulps have breathed a lot of new life in my collecting endeavors.

I have known for years that they are much more rare than comics. Very few people had the forsight to amass large collections in high grades. Comics have many pedigrees, pulps as of now, do not.

In knowing all of this, I have always known that the time to buy one you like is when you see it. Might never again get the chance. There are so many cool ones in all genres. But, they will always be second fiddle to comics for me.

    I second all of this.

I picked up a pulp at Windy City that was interesting and put it back in the box. I came back the next morning (basically only a few hours of "show time" since I put it down) and it was gone.

Same exact thing happened last year at Windy City; I didn't learn my lesson.

For this particular seller, I learned after my first purchase to adjust my top bid way down. I still ended up winning some lots for something like a dollar a book, most of which I'll eventually re-sell. I did consider sending them back or leaving neutral feedback.

  6. Anyone else having issues with eBay the past few days?

I'll look up a comic then go to SOLD and it will say 0 items found. I then switch to COMPLETED and see a mix of sold and unsold items.

Now, depending on what I look up, even the COMPLETED filter doesn't work properly.

    Example: American Splendor 1

    0 completed listings

    Then switch to Terapeak:

Eclipse Comics published all of its 3-D comics in very limited editions, typically about 100 copies, for the small portion of the population that is physically unable to see 3-D images. If I recall correctly, Eclipse editor cat yronwoode suffered form this condition, so they made a point of offering these by mail order.

These are all extremely rare. The Miracleman 2-D edition is well known within Miracleman circle, and can costs thousands. Others are less well known, but believe me, the Stevens collectors have been watching for these for years now...

For Space Vixens is the 2-D version then the third version of this comic? Or is it equivalent to the one with limited info (title/issue) on the cover?

Overall the Cole books did pretty good!  That STT #17 took the cake though.  WoW!

The Mask #1 in 3.0 ended at $12.5 which is pretty much on point where that book / grade has been. The STT #5 continues to be a hot book at $7.3 for a 7.5.The Suspense #7 in 7.0 got $12.2.  I don't have comparative prices for the Spook 6.0's but they seemed to do well.  It'll be interesting to see what the All-Famous Police #11 does tonight!

    What is STT #17?

Went out of my normal area and into Kansas for an auction. I didn't get the "bigger" books  (Captain America 32, Brick Bradford 6 and Air Fighters v2 6 and 7) that were there, Which went to a bidder on the phone. It was kind of funny, I don't think the auctioneer had a clue what the comics were worth. But still came home with some books after the 3+ hour drive there and back.

    Here's the haul.

What did the bigger comics go for?
