That's pretty depressing when you consider the cumulative decline from January. Ugh
The first two months are increases. YTD, it is down ~8%.That's not terrible.

I've done several pick ups, but also offer it on certain eBay listings (non-comic related, larger to ship items). I've had people drive from out of state for pickups and buy more when they arrive. eBay has a pick up option that allows one to note that an item was picked up (instead of uploading tracking). Not sure if that is available if it was not offered originally on the listing.

That is an impressive collection of Copper and Modern newsstand 9.8s.
Interesting to see some bidders have pushed books to near eBay completed prices (SW books) with 8 days remaining; whilst others are probably waiting to snipe.
I wouldn't think a signed copy will end lower than an unsigned copy. $11k is already a strong price for a Newsstand 9.8 and there are 8 days to go.

Wow, where/when did it sell for $16k? GPA doesn't have any sales above the $9200 GPA high for a Direct Edition on Dec 15 2021 Everything since has been $6300 or lower. What are the private sales going for on newsstands? last recorded newsstand was only $4500. Last 9.9 went for less than the current newsstand 9.8. Newsstands distribution numbers weren't that much less than their direct counterparts in 1988. even with the damages they may have sustained on the rack I guess a couple of competing bidders really want these 2 copies.
I believe he was referrencing the the signed copy. The GPA you pulled was unsigned. GPA has at least 5 signed copies selling for more than $10,000. The 5x signed copy sold in November 2020 for $15,000.

Thanks everyone for checking. I should note that I would pay a finder's fee should someone see it out in the wild somewhere. It's encouraging that Dr Balls found some books 20 years later.
It's weird, I had been randomly thinking about this book this spring. It was just coincidence that I happened to find my B&W cover copy a couple weeks ago.
Out riding my bike last night and rode by the spot where I purchased this Iron Man #1 many years ago...

It might help to tell us in what city you sold the book?
It would have been Northeast Ohio or Western PA. It was probably at one of the many single day hotel shows.

The board is very good at finding specific books based on their characteristics. I know this is a longshot, but figured it was worth a try. I am looking for a copy of Iron Man #1 that I owned in the 1980s. I came across a copy of the book is some old papers. I distinctly remember not knowing how to grade the book because of the pen mark in the upper left corner. I made the copy because I was going to send it to a dealer to get an opinion on the affect it would have on the grade. I would have sold the book sometime in the early 1990s. It is one of the few specific books (exact book) from this time period I would like to have back for sentimental reasons.
If it is a graded copy now, I would pay above GPA (I would pay the equivalent of 1-2 grades above its stated grade). Or, I would replace it with a higher grade copy of the seller's choosing (also 1-2 grades above its grade). if it is raw, I would also pay above market for it.
This is the copy. Technology in the 1980s is not what it is today. The most distinctive mark to be made out from this copy is the pen mark in the upper left.

Bought several books. Transaction was easy and books were as described.
