    Split

My daughter loves scary movies, so she asked me to go watch Split with her. Didn't know much about what the movie was about. Just that M. Night was the director, so it was probably going to suck like his last several films. I was surprised it wasn't horrible, and the twist ending sure made me glad i went. Spoilers: (yes, comic related) http://www.slashfilm.com/split-ending-m-night-shyamalan/
  2. Thanks man! Hope you've been well. Cool bit of info on the New Warriors show. That would be nice. I would love a revival in some form, preferably a new ongoing. We will see. I have noticed that cheap HG copies of #1 are becoming much, much harder to find in quantity. #1 Newsstand versions are still impossible to find in high grade. I thought I had a couple regular 9.9's, and submitted them with 2 cracked out 9.8's for SS. The 9.8's both came back 9.6, the higher grade ones came 9.8's. It broke my heart. Those 2 copies were the only ones I've ever seen without the spine tick on the spine next to the thugs hair. Couple of other things that you could have missed this past year: Marvel Age #97 has finally seen a couple 9.8's on the census. Some jerk has a hoard of high grade #5 second prints.
  3. Welcome back Boboset! It's nice to have another DH fan around. Nothing new with DH. The only Hollywood hopes I have for him is the rumours of the New Warriors TV show. It's supposed to be a comedy with Squirrel Girl as the main character, but I'm hoping DH has a chance to star in it too. http://www.slashfilm.com/new-warriors-tv-series-squirrel-girl/
  4. Major fan boy porn . . . Yep, that's the reason I had it encased in plastic. To keep the body fluids off it
  5. Platt works in the art department for Hollywood movies. Here's a link to some of the movies he's worked on. http://m.imdb.com/name/nm1792312/
  6. Second favorite Splatt cover I own, next to my original copy of MK #55.
  7. I've never seen one. Looking at Mile High Comics website you can buy newsstand versions up to #92. #93 probably has one also since it has the normal UPC/Direct box.
  8. I was going to bid on it. The bidders are private, so I'm staying away from this one.
  9. Purchased a slab from Biggs. The slab arrived quick and in perfect condition. Awsome boardie Hope to do business with him again.
  10. Finally, after a couple years of looking I found a worthy copy Another difficult book to find. I might be willing to part with this one.... For an unreasonable price
  11. Kevin purchased a few slabs from me. Transaction was flawless, and I hope to deal with him again. Great boardie!
  12. http://www.ebay.com/itm/262619225515 Can't believe people buy these fakes from this seller.
  13. Did a trade with Revat. It felt so good tearing up his box. Thanks man, hope to do it again soon
  14. Modern Slow Track: Recieved 5/10 ?? ?? Shipped 8/5
  15. Ajl007 is a p.o.s thief. I was burnt by him on a sketch also. Try pm'ing Glynn sr. He worked with Ajl007 and also had done a sketch opp with Ace in the past.
  16. Love that book! The package they originally came in tend to bend the spine by the top staple. My nephews have several of the spiderman 2099 toys now due to my need for a 9.8 candidate.
  17. 4K total for the color? Person on Facebook asked if the 4k included the sketch. Aspen replied "No, the sketch Artist Edition will be in the 1500-2000 print run range similar to the previous Batman variant, thanks!" So 4000ish for color 1500-2000 sketch
  18. Aspen replied on Facebook about the print run on the JLA books. "No higher the 4k total copies" and "the sketch Artist Edition will be in the 1500-2000 print run"
  19. I didn't want to take a chance with a grade drop. I also like having two copies of my slabs. One Universal and a Signature Series. This seems to be the best of both worlds for now, till I win the Mega Millions and buy a double SS. The Newton rings don't really bother me that much. It's the creep engine that scares me away with high dollar books.
  20. Will the silver label be an option for reholder / regrades? Not just new books?
  21. Certified Guaranty Company (CGC) and Stan Lee Collectibles have collaborated to create two new Stan Lee labels! The labels include a reproduction of a Stan Lee head sketch by J. Scott Campbell along with Stan Lee's signature in either silver or red. The Silver Signature Labels can be purchased for any book that is signed by Stan Lee from CGC. The Red Signature Label will be exclusively available through Stan Lee Labels. The first chance to get the Stan Lee labels is at the Denver Comic Con June 17-19, 2015. Anastasia's Collectibles and NY Comics will be on site at the show and will be taking in submissions for the special Stan Lee label. The label price is $5.00 over the chosen tier of grading service. Please contact Brittany McManus at bmcmanus@cgccomics.com for additional information on these exciting new labels.
