My best guess is that is either a sloppy attempt at an arrival date or a marking put on the book by a retailer for some other inventory system he had.

Interestingly, CBCS has now discontinued its red label and puts both verified and witnessed signatures in a yellow label (albeit specifying which is which). This is a good business move for them (given the stigma of red labels), but one that probably dilutes the yellow label for both companies. Sophisticated collectors know the difference. Casual collectors may not and may treat the yellow labels of both companies equally, despite the important differences.

Bump... just looking for this one book now. Thanks! -
I will pay $10 shipped, for a very fine or better copy of Stray Bullets: Sunshine & Roses 39. Anybody have one?

That’s Miller’s signature, no complaints there. My big complaint, having had a number of books signed in this latest private signing a CGC, is the fact that they did not use enough fresh Sharpies. I mean, with the amount of books he’s signing, and the money that CGC is making, there is no excuse for dying Sharpies. At least make his scrawl look strong. Come on, guys!😡

You made me look. I have 32 books S/S Frank Miller, with 14 more books at CGC awaiting his signature. I clearly have a problem.

I think it is. Typical signature placement back in the day. My untrained eye says the sig itself is legit. Nice!
-
Pretty sure I saw that one advertised on eBay? In any case, I think it's legit. His signature devolved over the years from fairly legible to hieroglyphics over the years.

I would be shocked if that sig was not legit. Congrats!
