  1. What parts of the country do they live/drive in? How many years with the company? What kind of hours per work week are they putting in? And I believe an employee of Fed ex is also chimed in this thread dats true. 14hrs a day, 5 days a week will pull u in that kinda dough, but trust me, u can forget about any sort of a social life (which is why I'm a comic nerd)(No time for chicks) What good is money without time? Or chicks.
  2. Mid five fig salary for a FedEx driver sounds right, but six fig for a driver??? Probably six for their pilots. multiple drivers I know make 6 figures From stealing packages and selling the contents?? That's sickening!!!!
  3. Removing the nostalgia also removes, entirely, the meaning behind the obvious love letter the creators were writing to everything 1983. That's like saying, "removing the sci-fi elements from Star Wars". It was a rather effective mystery, and I found the single driving plot, and all the subplots and tangents that were forwarded in the protagonists investigation of the main plot, interesting. It was far too short a season to get boring, really. And I'm going to disagree with the "nothing happens for the bulk of the series" simply because...well...a lot fricken happens....to a lot of the character...pretty much constantly. One man's "rip off" is another man's "homage". Agree. Most will love it. There are a select few who wont. Everyone I work with who has watched that are around my age love it. Id like to know what the 20 year olds think. My wife and I liked it a lot...couldn't wait to settle down at the end of the day and watch it together. She's 22, I'm 25.
  4. I have a good feeling about this. This was a good contact. Did CGC put you in touch with this person ? I'm sure CGC does not want this to end badly and a friendly push on their end should help. He reached out to me and works directly with CGC. By the time you're sick of this gif......your page will arrive. So not much hope for its arrival?
  5. I just asked my wife and she said I can definitely go as long as she gets to go as well and I drive the 15 and half hours each way. I'd take that deal if my wife offered.
  6. i agree 100%- the music and the random references sparked the nostalgia- but no children behave the way those kids do- "friends dont lie"-- ya right- when you are 10- all you do is lie! ***SPOILERS*** -the ending seemed to wrap-up with a nice bow on top- too convenient... The ending did, but the coda afterwards I'm assuming they made the ending to set up future seasons.
  7. My first thought as well. They would be better off with rebooting Green Goblin, or even Dr. Octopus. None of the villains listed are A list spidey villains. That being said, maybe they could introduce Osborn and Octavius to set them up as future villains? Vulture might not be the most popular villain they could've gone with, but I think it would be more unrealistic having a 15 year older Peter Parker face the Green Goblin or anybody similar for his first enemy.
  8. Both times with FedEx? Once with Fedex, once with the Post Office. Then you started using UPS .... sorry to offend anyone that might work for ups, but they are the worst for shipping collectibles with... I mostly use USPS. Same. I've never used anybody else except on return shipping from CGC. Not that I haven't had the occasional problem. A couple of months ago I sent a batch of books to CLink via USPS. Arrived on schedule in Maine on the second day. Next scan showed that the following day they were in North Carolina. The day after that they were back in Maine. The day after that they were back in North Carolina. Day after that they were back in Maine and delivered the following day. I told this story in another thread: Sent several high-dollar books to CGC for reholdering. Initial scan at my local PO, then nothing. Kept checking to see if they would show up on my inventory list at CGC, but they never did. Filed for a tracer with the PO, but they came up with nothing. A few weeks went by and I was getting ready to file an insurance claim when a package from CGC arrived with the books. No scan beyond the initial acceptance scan, no indication that the required signature at CGC had happened, CGC never entered the books into inventory, and never sent notice of the shipment back to me. Ship enough books and crazy stuff will happen! That's crazy.

  10. My books aren't covered under my homeowner's policy so I've been to get one just for my collectibles. I also have a lot of autographed baseball memorabilia, cards, etc.
  11. I bought the page from a fellow collector for $4,300 -- a good deal IMO, as it was more than $100 less than a similar example, page 3, sold for at CC auction recently. did anyone ask if you have your collection insured with CIA or the likes?... I don't have collector's insurance, no. might be a good time for those that don't, to do Is it only best when shipping books $4k+? Or good to have in general? And which company is good?
  12. Like others have said, hopefully it'll just show up out of nowhere and everything will be fine.
  13. Wonder if now is the time to sell or if it'll go up once he appears on the show .
  14. Finished it last night. It was so good!
  15. I'm through episode five. I'm really enjoying it and I'm a 90s kid
  16. Or Doc Ock since he's still trapped in Peter Parker's butler robot That's a good guess, too. The solicitation for ASM 18 involves the resolution of the Ock storyline. Interestingly, there's no ASM solicited for October (Marvel Now). Now THAT I would love. And the Alex Ross cover for 18 is pretty spectacular. And the description on the DCSB website: • BEFORE 'DEAD NO MORE' marches you closer to the Spider-Event of 2016. • THE MOMENT YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR HAS COME! • Doc Ock has been trapped in the body of The Living Brain since the first issue, but now it's time for him to act!

  18. If it is Mania, it seems like it'll be difficult to stock up on copies. The only ones I could find on eBay are signed and they're sold out on MCS.
  19. J.J. Jameson! So much for getting his first appearance to sell.
  20. I don't think it will be Gwenom, especially since they said "fans will lose it" when they find out who it ends up being.
