  1. It's due to disruption in the distribution chain which you can read about here
  2. Darwin responded to my wtb thread and his books were exactly as he described and packaged immaculately! With great communication and fast shipping, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again. Thanks very much!
  3. That’s correct. There are plenty of facilitators who go through Scott’s and have done so with every existing Mattina graded book as Scott’s Collectables manage his signings, commissions and appearances on his behalf. You’re welcome to go to your preferred facilitator (excluding the Venomverse variant) as they will bring the books to Scott’s Collectables to process.
  4. All CGC Signature Series books signed by Mattina during the public signings can only be submitted through NY Comics at booth #2355 All private CGC Signature Series signings should be dropped off at the Scott’s Collectables booth #2357 See everyone there!
  5. Some Mattina SS books arrived back last week. Keep an eye out on the Scott's Collectables page and they do include the Gamora cover That Moon Knight cover is stunning!
  6. I'm 99% sure that these are Scott's own customers submissions and know these include books Dre and Kevlar sent in as I prepped the latters. I don't recall any others arriving from other facilitators. I could've forgotten if they went in advance but don't think they did.
  7. Contact Scott's Collectables via pm or their website. Bulloch will be at LFCC next month which I'll be present at.
  8. More than likely from the Scott's Collectables signing completed in March.
  9. Seems like there's a new dartboard on the wall
  10. Dave Prowse is appearing at a comic con the weekend after MCM and a few more later in the year. I met him last year at LFCC, when they had loads of the original cast present including Baker, Bulloch, McDiarmid and Mayhew and was lucky enough to meet Carrie Fisher at NYCC. The Scott's had a private signing with Mark Hamill earlier this year, I don't know why I keep on procrastinating on getting something signed .
  11. I've just flicked through a copy of Youngblood #0 and it's featured within near the back.
  12. That's a fantastic Jason Momoa/Aquaman cover Quite the interesting topic and one I've often thought about myself I do like photo covers and try and ones to my collection with the idea of adding a signature from the celebrity in the future. Having said that, I do commission blanks specifically to have something a little more personal and also due to the potential of purchasing a celebrity signed photo cover down the line. Here are some of my past commissions from artist John Watson that I'd like to have signed when a signing opportunity arises and funds are available. I'll hopefully get Hayley Atwell to sign at the Heroes and Villians show here in London next month (maybe some of the Arrow cast) and do plan on having other commissions of the Shield cast and other bits for the London Film and Comic Con in July. I missed out on Kevlar's Gadot signing and not sure if the Robbie one went ahead. Both Stan Lee sigs cover both sketch and photo covers. I'm looking forward to CGC finishing the grading on the BTTF cover thanks to the efforts of Kevlar and dscott and I know John Watson really enjoys the idea of his art being witnessed by said celebrity and is looking forward to seeing the final result just as much as I am. He was pretty happy knowing that Mark Hamill saw his work and personalised one for his son in a recent opp.
  13. Run don't walk to get yourself on the list....my understanding is that they reached their initial quota on FB and was "sold out" and they were only taking slots on standby. They also signed an exclusive deal with him so there will be other ops down the road. Another service has a private signing with him in March, so I'm not sure how the exclusivity works in with that. Maybe they are exclusive after that date. Just to clarify that all submissions to be graded go through Scott's Collectables and that includes this other service. Confirmation of the extra 50 are pending, with only 12 reserve slots left.
  14. It was until I sold it to a boardie here last week. It's not even been a week and it's up for an astonishing price which is a shame as I was hoping it was going to go to into someone's collection for at least a while but that's their prerogative and it was a smooth transaction so no complaints That book went from raw, to BKV SS, to Fiona SS with sketch on the back to Fiona SS on the front. But I've my own fond memory of my other RRP which I had sketched in person so that was the keeper and save the money. I've been lazy in scanning other commissions and sketch covers to update my sig line during the last 6 months so will remove that when I get around to it.
  15. Wow did the prices take a huge jump for any particular reason? I wonder what either of my double SS with a sketch would go for? Anyway, I still love the book and cover and congrats to the new owner
  16. Slabs without the description were graded before CGC implemented data from the contents of the issue. It's the same with any comic they grade that's modern and takes a while before they or someone suggests such descriptions are added. If a RRP is graded now, it would have that description and I believe if you submitted for a reholder.
  17. They were in the shops today but I didn't buy a copy or flick through it. I enjoyed 1-6 but the delays killed it for me and I'll wait for the trade and monitor their release schedule this time. Be interested to see how it is though
  18. I normally prefer to buy mine in 9.8 already and pay the premium. I had three of them raw at one point and finally subbed one last late last year and managed to get it. I've not caught up with issues 31-32 yet, I felt some of the last arc or maybe the arc before was a little weaker art wise and hope it's picked up again.
  19. Hi Dan Thank you for the reply and education in such matters and I greatly appreciate the opportunities to receive a sketch from artists who I'd never have a chance of meeting as well as the other work all facilitators provide that I've been lucky enough to partake in via this forum. A big thank you to you all who do this on such a regular and successful basis I did do my research prior to joining the op and saw that Mike had successfully completed many, and I also take notes of others with a consistent presence to hopefully join in on in the future when funds and collecting focus allow. I totally understand that extenuating circumstances can derail the best of plans and good intentions, and those that you mentioned could have been a cause, I'm not blind to that despite it being my first participation. If my wording lead you to the conclusion that I was reflecting on other facilitators and opps on the boards then my apologies and it was my mistake. That other sketch I referred to wasn't an at home op to my knowledge nor attained at the same convention when it was offered to me and was a positive experience. It's proudly shown in my signature. The communication aspect was because everything stopped for a long period. We learnt why this was the case and comms were re-established, again a lot of time inbetween and chasing up but through patience and working together, Mike and I have concluded our business. That's the only negative, the fact I had to chase for information rather than being advised and then chase up refunds. But as I said, I've absolutely no ill will and I'd like to see Mike back on the boards and active soon He's always been courteous and polite throughout the process and to the conclusion. Communication is the biggest factor here and I just wanted to mention it as a polite reminder in general as it puts nervous minds at ease
  20. I posted in the pm thread but I think there might be one op participant who isn't included so: I'm finally out of this op with a full refund including fees and my blank. Mike and I had communication over the last few months via email and I'm happy to put this to bed. I've no ill feelings towards Mike, I know challenges outside of the boards can drastically affect things and I hope things look up for him. It was my first participation in a sketch op on these boards and an unfortunate one. I've had one sketch arranged and completed at a convention via a facilitator which was fantastic and likely to only collect these from the artists themselves as that direct connection adds a lot more to the experience. I'm not opposed to sketch ops on the boards, but there needs to be a whole lot more communication from whomever runs them at all times. I don't know if CGC take on board how many of these get completed but I'm all good now and hope anyone else outstanding will be as well soon.
  21. This is still my favourite series and I'm looking forward to seeing BKV at the NICE convention in Bedford next weekend When does the series return?
