    (attempted) Flip of the Day!

    :-). ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/323590803306?ul_noapp=true Comicartfans: https://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=1519440
  2. Does anybody know where the originals of the John Schoenherr Dune paintings are? I just remembered how much I wanted to own one of these extraordinary paintings when I read the Dune novels as a kid. Well, knowing what I know today I’m sure there is no way they would ever be for sale, but I would love to see one in person if they are exhibited somewhere. Does anybody know more about their whereabouts?
  3. Is this fading marker? https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/steve-dillon-punisher-war-zone-1-cover-original-art-marvel-2009-/p/7204-85002.s If it is I’ll never take my preacher pages out of the portfolio again.

    COMICLINK Fall Featured Auction

Unfortunately the one page I bought (Don Rosa Donald Duck Adventures) was right at FMV 😀. I‘m curious, what pieces seemed underpriced to you? The only other item I was bidding on was the Gammill Action cover and I felt that went for a VERY healthy price.
  5. Thanks speedforcekj! I totally agree that Manapul is one of the best modern Flash artists, I was blown away by his work when Flash vol 3 came out in 2010. Looks like not many people agree with us though, both auctions are still below $100 😀.
  6. I have listed some comic art on eBay: - 2 pages form Flash 2 (vol 3) by Francis Manapul - 1 Hagar the Horrible Sunday strip by Dik Browne Here is the link: https://www.ebay.com/sch/oldwhy/m.html?item=123509482654&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562 Thanks!

SO sorry, but could somebody give me the contact information for the two comic art restorers that were mentioned here before? Tried searching the postings, but without luck. Thanks so much!
  9. I just wanted to post the exact same thing. I would have estimated this at $3,000. What am I missing? Is it the limited supply (I only saw one other good page from that GN before)?
  10. What a great commission! Huge congrats!
  11. Hi all! I have two pages on eBay right now: Preacher 6, page 5 (Steve Dillon) https://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Art-Preacher-6-Page-5-by-Steve-Dillon/123163935891?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 Excalibur 16, page 7 (Alan Davis) https://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Art-Excalibur-16-Page-7-by-Alan-Davis-and-Paul-Neary/123163947337?hash=item1cad24b149:g:RkAAAOSwwwRbD7tS Thanks for looking!
  12. I don't think that's correct. Here is what Heritage told me in an email this week: "This is a HAGI sale in Texas. Sales tax is applicable if the property is delivered to Texas, New York, Florida, Illinois or California; otherwise, no sales tax is due." My read of this is that a buyer in LA would pay CA sales tax.
  13. Why 21% tax? Heritage told me that the art would be shipped from the Netherlands, so would this not be tax free in your case (assuming you’re in Belgium, but might be completely wrong)? I have to say the whole auction is confusing to me. It’s called European comic art signature auction, but it includes non European art, the bids are in USD, the actual auction takes place in Texas and the art is in Europe? It’s really all over the place!

HA May Auction, lots of great art !

Apologies if this has been discussed already, but is it possible that there are a lot of Donnelly covers in this auction? A lot of the lower tier covers seem to have "modern stats". No biggie, just curious.
