  1. Fantastic, thank you! I just donated as well. Knowing from experience, every donation helps. Whether it is a financial one, an emotional one or a support one. Everything good people do here matters! Thank you!
  2. Lot of modern variants, proceeds paid directly to Brittany’s fund. Great books for the variant collectors or anyone who loves Dell’Otto or Iron Fist! A little different approach: pay what you feel is fair for the lot (minimum is $100 shipped in US only). I will match the sale value with an additional donation up to $500. (i.e. If you pay $200, I will match $200. If you pay $500, I will match $500. etc.) Modern Variant and Dell’Otto Lot - Iron Fist 1 (2017) Dell’Otto “Virgin” Edition : CGC 9.8 White - Iron Fist 1 (2017) Dell’Otto Black & White Edition : CGC 9.8 White - Iron Fist 1 (2017) Dell’Otto Variant Cover : CGC 9.8 White - Immortal Iron Fist 1 (2007) 2nd Printing Dell’Otto Variant : CGC 9.4 White - Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1 (2016) Bulletproof Comics Edition : CGC 9.8 White - Amazing Spider-Man 3 (2016) Dell’Otto Variant : CGC 9.6 White - Enormous 1, 215 Ink (2014) Phantom Variant Cover : CGC 9.8 White Pictures to come later. 3. Friends, I am happy to share that on February 7th I received a new heart! It had been over 500 days on the list and I was actually only a few days away from receiving an LVAD (Left Ventricle Assist Device). It is a sobering moment to receive a second chance at life at the expense of another’s. I don’t know anything about my donor, but I am thankful for their gift and can only hope their family feels my love for them. I am home now, recovering and resting. There is a long journey back to normal life ahead of me, but my family and I are excited we have this opportunity. I want to share how thankful I am to be a part of this community. The outpouring of love and support was overwhelming. The members (and their families) are truly loving, generous and thoughtful people. All of your support has been extraordinarily meaningful and helped us through tough times. The notes and messages have brought a smile to my face multiple times and given me strength to take a positive view. Lastly, but not leastly, the funds raised are crucial in providing the life-long care I need. In these uncertain times of the future of healthcare, these funds secure my ability to continue moving forward. I probably will not be on here much in the near future, but my plan is to return after I have fully healed and become an active member of the community again. I look forward to talking comics and participating with all of you soon. I can only hope to pay all of your kindness forward. Side note: if you haven’t already, please consider becoming an organ donor. Your gift could save up to 8 lives and help numerous more. With love; thank you, ~Robb

  5. To the CGC Board Members, their family and friends: I wanted to provide an update on my situation. I am not online very much anymore, but this community has been a huge part of my life for the past few years and it will continue to be so. I look forward to the day I am healthy and back on the boards daily (I really do love this place). Health update: I have still been pretty lucky by heart failure standards. There have been a few hospitalizations and some scares, but I am still able to spend time at home while I wait for a heart. It has been roughly six months since I was listed and the doctors have let me know it could be awhile longer (given my height and blood type). I am extremely thankful for the opportunity to be around my wife and son so much. If I were healthy and working I would have missed so much, honestly I didn't realize how much kids change day to day. As before, I will continue to participate on the boards as I feel up to it and will try to respond to PMs. I will keep people here posted, but please know that my wife will be updating the HelpHOPELive website on my individual page as we have major news. I want to reiterate what I said last time. Your generosity is truly touching and we are very thankful that when the day comes, we have funds available to help with medical costs. The money is still all in the account, ready for that day when I get the phone call (hopefully sooner rather than later). It can only be applied to medical expenses and the HelpHOPELive organization manages it all as we navigate during stressful times. Thank you so much, I hope to have good news soon! ~The Olds Family PS - I apologize for another name change. When the new site hit I was curious how the new process would work and if this name was available. Low and behold, it changed over instantly! Please know that my former board names are SpeedForce and rfoiii.

  8. To the CGC Board Members, their family and friends: Our family is overwhelmed with happiness behind the love, support, encouragement and generosity of the CGC board members and their families. The kindness that was shown to our family was unbelievably heartwarming and well beyond our expectations. We never would imagine that so many people whom I have never met in person or had little interaction with have been both so supportive and generous. Particularly there are members with whom I have exchanged opposing ideas (sometimes in an unfriendly manner) that stepped forward and put it aside to help my family and I. I am floored by the kindness of the people here and am proud to be a member of this community. com·mu·ni·ty 2. a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. The members here aren't just brothers/sisters in arms with collectibles, we are truly a community of people supporting people and I couldn't be more honored to be here. I want to extend a special thank you to Dave, Bryan and Sharon. Without them none of this would have been possible and the additional hours they spent (during the holidays) to move this thread (and the others) forward is amazing. You are truly the some of the kindest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Thank you so very much! Health update: I am very lucky at this point to still be able to live at home while waiting for a heart, there are many who cannot leave the hospital. My condition is "stable" for the most part right now and am patiently waiting for the "call." My doctors informed me that due to my size (I am a tall/large man) and my blood type (O-) matching me will prove a longer process than average. This means it could be awhile before I receive a transplant. The unfortunate truth of the matter is that someone has to pass away for me to get a second chance at a full life - so whenever it comes it will be with both sorrow and joy. I will continue to participate on the boards as I feel up to it and will be happy to answer anyone's questions. Additionally my wife will be providing updates via the HelpHOPELive website on my individual page so that everyone will see our progress up to and through a successful heart transplant. HelpHOPELive - Robb's Heart Campaign Your generosity is truly touching and we are very thankful that when the day comes, we have funds available to help with medical costs. From the bottom of our hearts - Thank you. ~The Olds Family
