  1. Well that was my point. I’m quite happy with what amazon charges me, I get to move inventory there that I mostly can’t move anywhere else (including eBay) Do I wish Amazon would charge me less? Sure I won’t say no to pay less. But it’s their platform and their rules. there are many things in life that I wish I paid less for (cough cough NY property tax cough) but as long as it works for me I will gladly pay for it Thing is, eBay is not being transparent with their charges which is disturbing. Especially since they sign you to a contractual agreement which they fail to disclose its full charges. Not cool
  2. If thats the case that not just a whole buncha baloney but its also very misleading for them not to mention that. Just when you think eBay is stepping in the right direction
  3. Overall, as I said earlier, I always preferred the way that Amazon handled the business with sellers more than eBay. And this new eBay seller accounting strategy looks like its lifted straight off their website. So I cant say I have anything against that. Unless they are gonna charge us some other nonsensical fees
  4. You just did: "you will pay only one final value fee" Which includes, as they state; category-based percentage of the total amount of the sale (thats the 10% fee) , plus a $0.30 fixed fee per order If you had to pay additional fees, such as the 0.20-.30 cent listing fee, I would imagine that they would include that in that statement PLUS not call it a one final value fee, why wouldnt they? But again, we will have to see
  5. Hm well according to their wording this seems like there is only one final value fee. Read again: Once activated for managed payments starting late July, you will pay only one final value fee, consisting of a category-based percentage of the total amount of the sale, plus a $0.30 fixed fee per order, with no third-party payments processing fees (such as to PayPal). No where do they mention that we will pay a final value fee in addition to listing fees. Unless you have any information that indicates that elsewhere? Very curious about this, because that EXACTLY how Amazon works which I always liked better than eBay
  6. I have a question about this part so does that mean that eBay will stop charging for listing fees in advance and only bill us 30 cents per sale? if so I actually like that better than paying 20-30 cents per listing PRIOR to selling
  7. Some from not too long ago. All came out NM including the uf4 var this dude had a weird listing title. He used the newsstand UPC code as the title. Don’t even remember how I came across this. One of them was a mj edition
  8. That’s the most adorable video I’ve seen in a long while. God bless their little hearts
  9. And of course if you ship priority you already get your package insured up to $50
  10. My point was that insuring WITH THE POST OFFICE proves to be faster to me as of late. Of course it’s good to have insurance on your books through an agency, but that unfortunately won’t expedite your shipment during this current crisis
  11. Last note - I found out that insuring your packages (even those for less than $10) gets the item to ship faster. This makes sense to me from the post office stand point, they probably prioritize insured mail, so its probably worth the buck or 2 to do that during these times
  12. Sellers- you MUST explain this to your buyers. If you do not they will assume the worst. Heres a template that I am using (fill in the blank with your case date) The post office is being very slow this month due to the current crisis and many packages are being pulled off route and shipped to other facilities because some are sadly closed. I am in touch with the USPS daily to get new tracking information and guideline updates and am very familiar with whats going on. Your books were shipped on _______, a ____ after your purchase date so we know there were no delays there. Sorry it takes so long but it’s really out of our control. Im certain you will receive this, just like many other orders I fulfilled which sadly arrived later than usual (some arrived unexpectedly quick even). But so far everyone has received their orders with no errors/lost package cases, but in the event that anything like that will happen, you will absolutely get FULLY compensated.Stay safeDan
  13. Yup, thats exactly whats happening now. Some facilities are closed/shut down and in order to keep the shipment going they re being re-routed to other facilities that are active. Kinda like re-routing your GPS to a longer route when you hit traffic.
  14. It’s totally insane. I never thought in a million years I’d have so many sales. Amazon was slow till last week I assume because they prioritized sales of essential goods on their platform but it almost felt as if they “opened the gates” last week and I’ve been flooded with orders there as well. I’m at 300% my monthly average this month and with one more week to go at this pace I’m sure it’ll be 400. I’ve racked 1200$ from cash sales alone this month pretty much delivering comics just from fb/craigslist. About 7k off eBay mostly.... just stunning
  15. A few years ago I bought a collection of some 3-4,000 books mostly bronze with some late silvers and 70% of them had date stamps. All were in incredible condition as well. Kept this collection without grading. Maybe next year ill get to send some in...
  16. Yup sold a couple of MOTUs today as well... wonder whats going on
  17. I never thought about Jackson guice being a Golden clone but now that you mention it....
