I remember as a child first collecting comics, and always reading about how SC4 was the birth of an entire era. It, and the other early Flash appearances were always my "one day" goals. When the day finally arrived that the books would be possible to own, I came to these boards and was able to finally realize a lifelong dream. The other issues came shortly thereafter, but it was a lunch meeting with a boardie where I acquired F105 and SC4 that got me to the point I am today. Roullette44 (Joey) made the comment that putting together a full Showcase run in high grade would be ridiculously tough, so that's what I set out to do. The purchases led to many wonderful interactions with people, and helped me appreciate the hobby even more than I already had for decades.

I haven't posted in a few years, but its nice to see whats been going on in the SA DC books. At today's prices, I would never be able to repeat what I did years ago by completing a full Showcase run. Anyways, keep sharing your copies and info, as I really missed the board interactions from guys like Boba.

I've noticed the nice run up on copies lately. So glad I got mine years ago. The greens and yellows still look right off the printer.

The finale was really good. That ending was a great cliffhanger.

I saw this on Reddit and had to share it here. In the end, the most shocking death in The Walking Dead...was The Walking Dead.

It's insane to think the book is ending. Maybe spin-offs in a year or two?

I managed to win the Showcase 18 9.0 on Heritage this week. It officially put my registry set score over 100k, which I could not fathom happening when I started the set years ago.

Congrats on the PQ. The snow white pages in my 5.5 copy plus the bright greens are what make it a central book to my collection.
