    No no no

You have to see the "vision" with billboards that say, move to Florida home of cgc .

I can see having 100 graders under one roof, I also see other locations out of country as inevitable, which only makes since if you try it in country first

But these are just thoughts, I don't make the decisions

From a logistics perspective, having more than one location would be beneficial when it comes to cost. Especially with large shows like SDCC & NYCC, it would be better to have closer facilities to go to than having to ship boxes or send employees cross country to do get things done.

I don't think the "Starbucks" route of a facility or store on every corner would be beneficial but having close facilities makes it easier.

But seriously, if we close down, we should ask the mods about transitioning to  a discord, reddit page or some some other forum

If you think some people on the forums are bad, Reddit trolls are even worse lol.

I would recommend having a Private/Invite only community for Reddit. Discord would be good too. Could definitely create sub categories and such for different topics. Plus the live talking system would be good for sellers and facilitators to converse.

  3. I was a little disappointed as there so much hype for a cameo or something like Mandalorian 2 season finale. However, it was definitely a good closing for Wanda herself.

The main questions that I have is...

    Spoiler

what happened to the white Vision? Looks like he has his memories now, so shouldn't he have gone with Wanda as well?

  4. I have not bought a storage unit for mine yet as I currently use a portfolio but I searched and found this one on Amazon. Similar to the IKEA one but seems to be not as wide for about $97.00:

At the moment, they are still rolling on with the event.  Next time, please be careful saying the forbidden word, as it seems the show get disappear when someone utter that word. 😅😅

Stay safe, be in good health! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

With things always changing with COVID-19 regulations, who know what will happen come the end October. Right now Maryland is on the high-end of the spectrum when it comes to rising cases.

Hopkins calculates the rate differently than the Maryland Department of Health.

    • New York and Connecticut: 1.1%
    • New Jersey: 1.6%
    • Delaware: 4.4%
    • Maryland: 5.8%

Currently, they have required anyone over the age of 2 that face mask are mandatory. In addition, Baltimore Mayor ordered city restaurants to suspend indoor dining. This may not go well for indoor attractions unfortunately.

But again, who knows what will happen by October. Hears hoping for the best :wishluck:

  7. Hello @Murray C

I actually have Jim Aparo page myself that I purchased on auction. I am a big fan of his work, so I couldn't pass it up. Since you are inquiring about prices for Jim Aparo pieces, I purchased the title page art for Batman #560 for about $900. Given that this was an auction, I would say this is on the low end of the price range for a title splash piece. If you research online art auctions like Heritage Auctions, ComicLink or Romitaman.com, you can see the prince range for his incredible art. I hope this helps and good luck!

My current story with China once again solidifies my stand on Global Shipping.  If I am reading this right either the buyer OR China itself has denied shipment to Beijing.   I wrote eBay and they say I am covered.   My buyer claims that he did not receive the item.  I wrote eBay and they said to give it time.  Now I notice a week later that the buyer OR China cancelled or denied shipment.  As soon as I saw that, I wrote eBay and this is the response I received.  If you are NOT using Global Shipping you open yourself up to situations like this.   Use Global Shipping.

100% agree on using Global Shipping and glad it worked out for you. International shipping is crazy as of late due to the pandemic. I had a customer win and item and then cancel due the shipping costs being a lot higher than usual overseas. So you might see customers cancel orders for international items, just be aware. Global shipping does help protect the seller with issues in international shipping and yes, once it's at Kentucky for shipping, it's out of your hands and eBay takes the hit. It's definitely helped with sometimes shady international customers.

That is the general rule with all services donations (with mileage on your car).

I believe this to be true, as an artist on the side. You can't really donate your own work on, and have it tax free. I think it would only apply if you are a collector. The below is a link to help clarify:

    Donating Artwork

This is probably why Jim, and hopefully most artists, are only donating a certain percentage, as the other percentage is kept for their time and overhead costs. He's a great person and I really admire his ethics and art, so i say pay the man!

The simple answer to your question is.....to each his/her own.  What you cringe at others do not.  We are not here to judge but only to admire.

I do agree that everyone is entitled to their own preference and it's up to the individual what they want signed....however, I do cringe as well when I see a First appearance of Spidey, Cap, Thor, etc. signed by an actor or actress :/

Also, the artists that draw life like characters are pretty awesome and definitely worth a good signature to accompany the art.

    Great stuff everyone!

Wait a sec...I can read these comics too? I don't see how that's possible. They are stuck in these plastic cases and won't come out. Spider-Man showed up at my 7-11 once and gave me an autographed #162. CGC probably wouldn't authenticate it, but I know it was him.

    2. That's awesome and it should be graded and noted "signed by Spider-Man" if it were to be slabbed ;)

    3. I remember my first comic signed at Menlo Park Mall (I'm a Jersey kid) and it was by Jim Calafiore back in '98. CGC wasn't around yet but I still have the book as a keepsake.

  12. I do feel like this is a missed opportunity by DC with the celebration and honoring of years for certain characters like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, etc.

As stated, CGC probably hasn't begun or hasn't reached a deal with DC yet. I think a label that also honors the celebrated years would be worth getting as an alternative to just the artwork labels.

DC has been behind Marvel in certain aspects so it may be that DC is waiting to see how the payout is for Marvel or other companies that have negotiated label artwork

That's a sweet piece of work :) Will you go for a villains book later?

    Congrats!

Oh man, that is a great idea. There are so many villains from so many movies and tv shows, it would take a great convention or a good amount of time to complete. Definitely worth thinking about, thanks!!!
