  1. Hey Jon, Both The Gerber guide and CGC list #1 and #2 as Lou Fine covers. Overstreet also lists #2 as a Lou Fine Cover, but #1 as a Tuska. There seems to be some confusion. Are you sure that neither #1 or #2 are by Lou? I'm a big Fox fan also
  2. Just curious, is that because you favor (I don't know if you do or don't) GGA? Or do you think Matt's just the better all around artist?
  3. Schomburg would be my #2 for golden age artists overall, he's certainly the "Busiest". Look at the detail in the Captain America #28 and then compare it to the detail of the Fantastic Comics #3. This is why Lou is my choice for #1. Obviously, just my opinion.
  4. I like Matt Baker's art also. I'd certainly have to give him #1 Golden Age Good Girl Art (GGA) artist (Kamen 2nd).
  5. From a cover only standpoint, my pick for the #1 golden age artist is Lou Fine. In my opinion, his cover work, with its strong pulp influence, makes most other golden age artwork look cartoonish. The following are just a few of his more classic covers. I don't remember ever seeing the original artwork to these though. Anyone have any information as to why? I think the Victor Fox destroyed the Fox Publications covers. P.S. These are not my comics. Hopefully, I'm not devaluing them.......
  6. I've got a CGC graded triple cover for Conan the Barbarian #275...
  7. Fox Publishing. Artists: Lou Fine, Bob Kane, Wally Wood, Joe Simon, Tuska, Kirby, etc. See Attachment
