  1. Here's someone many folks on these boards have had fun run-ins with. He's caused havoc for many (wins and never pays) and keeps coming back with new usernames. I am out 750 on three fury comics he won last week and in typical Sahakian fashion, didn't bother to reply to invoices nor pay for the books. I'm doing the whole non-paying thing via ebay to get listing fees etc back but thought I'd warn the community this fine, upstanding contributor to our hobby is back...block him from all your auctions current username: spicyco-66 former usernames include: lagiant888 texastoast909 dddsahakian adsahakian1 armenookie And here is his latest address according to PayPal. Armen D. Sahakian 161 Banyan Dr State College, PA 16801-2562 United States Avoid this waste of oxygen at all costs.
  2. After finally finding a NM copy of Fantastic Four Annual #12 (would have been a 9.6 at least) in 1991, I will never forget lazily inserting an acid free backing board into the mylar with the book already in it. I sliced open the back cover half way down the book. Thankfully it happened to be THAT book because the next book on the stack of books to be 're-mylared' and 're-boarded' was a VG/Fine copy of House of Mystery #1. To this day, I always look at that as a significant learning event (SLE) in terms of 'comic care.'
  3. Here's my story...I purchased gorgeous NM copies of House of Mystery 174 and House of Secrets 81 from a John Hauser ad in a CBG in 1991 or 1992 for something like 10.00 for each. I turned around and sold them to Harley Yee in 1995 for about the same price. I liquidated 95% of my collection at that time to buy an engagement ring and pay for my honeymoon. Thankfully, I'm still married and love my wife...it was worth it...or was it? Oh yeah, how could I forget this one...I traded a NM- X-men 94 for a Fish Police #1 during the first "independent speculation" period in the late 80's. I was definitely stupid and regularly admit I acted foolishly...
