  1. It was dreadful. Just dreadful. I wanted to see Flash, not whatever that was. They broke up last episode, then get back together again one episode later, to top off the awfulness. I just had to endure Grey's Anatomy's singing episode with my wife, so this was more punishment.

  3. The public has no idea about the Vulture. If it's done right it will work, but the idea of the Vulture does nothing by itself. The actor and -script have to make it happen.
  4. Just watched this week's episode. Hmmm...so Zoom gave a big speech about planning the use of and killing of the other Jay, saying he convinced him to let himself be killed...was that a lie? I ask because when Zoom killed Jay, the show later (end episode 15) showed Zoom's reaction, which included him taking off his mask and saying, woebegone, "This… is a complication." Seemingly the intent of the scene was to indicate it was a mistake that he killed Jay, though it was a big who-is-Zoom reveal at the same time obviously. Plot hole...or???
  5. "However, Downey Jr. only agreed to appear in the film if they changed the name to 'The Spectacular Spiderman', as they had originally trial ballooned, causing CGC boardies who will remain unnamed to buy Spectacular Spiderman #1 9.8."

  7. Mad Max was almost rewarded for not having a plot. Basically it's a sequence of action scenes strung together, which makes for a fantastic action movie, but, as indicated, it has no real plot. So there are no distractions from the action from a plot. The only distractions for me in Star Wars were a few things I saw as plot problems. So, having less ambition and just executing a minimal plot has been rewarded.
  8. Glad to see Star Wars got a Best Picture nomination. OH WAIT. You know, they expanded the field for Best Picture after The Dark Knight wasn't nominated, so popcorn flicks with critical support could potentially get noms, but it just hasn't worked out. Makes you wonder if the only way to do it is by following the Lord of the Rings model, put out three movies in quick succession, each one being great, so the buzz accumulates to the point the Academy is bowled over. So...maybe movie #3 in the new trilogy will do the trick. HECK, THEY NOMINATED MAD MAX FOR GODSAKES. Plot-Go through the desert this way, then go through the desert back the other way, meanwhile shooting a bunch of ultra-cool fight scenes. End movie.
  9. God I hope not...would they really mimic ESB that far? Jim If people would be willing to pay to see it five or more times, the Disney powers-that-be would fart in their own faces. IMHO At Disney they call that a Steamboat Willie.
