The first 10 having been moving up for a little while (led by #1 of course). 9 is a pretty amazing Boris cover, arguably the best of the entire run if not all Marvel mags (it's definitely a contender). Also 5, 7, and 12 are pretty special.

Savage Sword of Conan. And I completely agree, the first 50 issues are relatively inexpensive (with a few exceptions) and filled with quality material and covers by great artists like Earl Norem, Boris, and more.

Pretty much all the members in the magazine section are good natured, well intentioned, positive board members. It's really the only part of the boards like that (in my experience). A lot of that is from the relentless positivity of several like @wombat @oakman29 @The Lions Den @Jayman @Stevemmg @OtherEric @jimjum12 @batmiesta @FoggyNelson @N e r V and several others deserving of recognition but go unsung due to my limited cognitive faculties. All are extremely knowledgable and very enthusiastic about magazines and glad to share with new collectors.

@Artifiction Oakman and I are just messing around. Truthfully, he's one of the best guys on the boards and a wealth of knowledge when it comes to magazines.

Welcome to the magazine section where these problems are celebrated, not demonized. We're all here to support each other. Except for @oakman29. The man is untrustworthy and is particularly dangerous when he approaches you with a rope. Something I learned, the hard way.

I think these guys have it all wrong. I think you should get more aggressive than before. Start implying things about his family. Cast aspersions on the quality of his inventory. Neg the hell out of him! And when he comes back as either equally angry or aloof, ask him "Why do you seem so angry?" No matter how he responds, repeat step one and keep on cycling through until he breaks and gives you the deal you want. Then praise him.
