  1. I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that The Rolling Stones refused to play “Sympathy for the Devil” in concert for years after that incident as the stabbing happened during that song as they were preforming it.
  2. Yes I agree but I thought it would be a fun task. So I will preface this by saying these are my “current” top five. My choices are based on color, composition and subject matter. 5. Mystery Tales #14 Everett does a fantastic detailed job on this Gypsy woman with her intricate clothing and wrinkled face. The man’s a bit more cartoonish but has that pure expression of fear as the skeletons break loose to attack! 4. Menace #11 Harry Anderson creates a tense and fearful unique perspective with this closeup cover. That guy’s neck or back is clearly snapped as the door is simultaneously being locked. Talk about multitasking! 3. Spellbound #17 Bill Everett again does a stunning rendition of a girl returning? to the grave. The stark blacks and whites make this cover pop. The chorus of skeletons in the background add to the eeriness. Another boardie once mentioned the large size of Everett’s sig on this one, signed large as if he was very proud of it. 2. Spellbound #14 Another Everett and another Spellbound, but this crazy cover is firing on all cylinders! First, the colors are just fantastic. The layout works nicely by drawing your eye in a zig-zag from background to foreground and vice verse. And then there’s Mr. Smiley with the ascot! 1. Venus #19 Maybe no surprise here but this cover hits it all with the ghostly trio, damsel in distress and a mask wearing skeleton! Beautifully composed and a classic!
  3. Just in. Already loved this Enrich cover on the Skywald Psycho cover, but this is cool too with the dress recolored yellow to match the cover.
  4. One of the top 5 classic Atlas PCH covers IMHO. Anyone have a top 5 opinion?
  5. Oops! Saw the “ez” at the end and immediately thought Dominguez sketch. Thanks for the clear up!
  6. I have CDO. It’s the same as OCD but my OCD makes me put it in alphabetical order!
  7. I remember having this one. Huge and red plastic with glow-in-the-dark teeth? Also regarding the Forgotten Prisoner, what is the 100 box vs the 98?
  8. Great colors on this one, congrats! This one also has the first use of “Dracula Lives!” which Marvel reused in the 70’s for their black and white magazine title.
  9. Just in. Not high grade but I love this cover! Added some interior pics for those curious about what’s inside these Spanish versions. The highlight for me was the Esteban Maroto art!
  10. Wanted to read this for a while and finally got a copy. There are two more books that go along with this story. Cronicals the struggle of the American Indians against the early settlers. Some very nice artwork too!
