So if the IRS spent the time tracking down that 21% belonging to the top 1% they wouldn't have to nickle and dime the rest of us. No doubt what they would collect outstanding from the richest 1% would FAR exceed anything they hope to gain from this ridiculous new reporting rule, plus the resources they'd have to throw at the 1% should be much less than coming after us serfs. Anyone can actually do it, you do pay to stay there though. We stayed in a nice private trailer right on the grounds. They let you take in some animals to live with you for the time you are there. I think we had 3 cats and 2 dogs staying in our living space. Then during the day you volunteer and work in the different sections of the sancturay feeding and socialising with the animals. It's in Kanub Utah a close drive to Zion national park so we did a couple of outings there during our stay.

Ha! The magazine is cool but the best was when my wife and I spent a week living on the sanctuary grounds in Utah socializing with the kitties and pups. It’s a little animal paradise.

I get this line of thinking but the seller is actually doing a PSA by taking it here and possibly helping someone in the future from dealing with this person who clearly lacks any sense of integrity or business ethics. The rules for the PL don’t have a monetary threshold. It doesn’t matter if it’s $1 or $100. Many sellers have in their rules no one on the PL or HOS and this believe it or keeps the vast majority of documented deadbeats away from the marketplace. I 100% agree with your advice to the buyer, take the “hit” and move on.

I don't think there was anything wrong with your post, New Jersey is beautiful. Seriously though I think I either bought and/or sold to both of you in the past with no issue so will stay out of the fray in general but given the current situation if I was the seller I would have spent the .50 or $1 to add tracking to that check to avoid the back and forth.

Quoting prices from GPA from 2004 & 2009 in relation to the current market is going to give you a headache.
