  1. Interesting info. I while back I bought a raw FC 386 from this seller and thought the price I paid was reasonable. Will be more diligent in looking at the bid activity go-forward though.
  2. I drove 4.5 hours in a blizzard one way (a ride that would normally take 35 minutes) responding to a craigslist ad for 2 boxes of SA books that was being sold for $80. There were about 150 books total, the seller would not let me go through the boxes so I only saw the top 4 books as the were stacked on their backs 2 columns in each box. I recall seeing the covers of a flash 139 and a Tec 360. Once I got home 3 hours later with the boxes found nice copies of Tec 359 and Bats 181 among others, first SA two face and scarecrow. Probably the best score in the wild I ever had. 7.5 hours total drive time and when I got home my wife said I was completely certifiable. Till this day I don't regret that white knuckled drive.
  3. This is a tough one for me. Looks like the CF is detached from the top staple, if so not sure deduction for it. The rust on the staples and migration to the BC I think will bring it down quite a bit IMO. I can't get this over a 4.0 or 4.5 in my head though. Would love to hear other opinions on this one. Super cool cover.
  4. A book is sent to CCS for a dry clean and press with no screening service selected to see if the book would benefit from such techniques. To compound the matter let's say the books structural integrity is compromised by having brittle pages and/or spine. In a perfect world the submitter should have know better but curious if anyone knows if CCS would proactively pull a GA book where a press would actually cause further damage or just go-ahead with the process?
  5. His ad really should have been reported and pulled for violating payment option guidelines for requesting F&F. Sorry to see all these folks get screwed over. Hopefully he shows up and makes everyone whole.
  6. It doesn't even look like the same book. Those spine ticks on the original pic have disappeared from the graded copy. Must be the scan. Nice score though.
  7. Beautiful! I love that MM 29. Gotta get my hands on another one at some point as I sold the one I had. Someone walked away with a sweet 9.2 from that Berk auction. That book was off the charts!
  8. Just finished the Incal graphic novel series, again. Would love to see a movie adaptation. (The fifth element does not count)
  9. Sorry gang been swamped with work and haven't had time to pull books. I updated my offering to be a $100 Amex gift card. Congrats to the winner and runner-ups!
  10. I had 9.0/3.5/4.0/8.5. I'm shocked some of these graded as high as they did. Congrats @DeadOne , I'm pulling for you to take 1st!
  11. Yeah, a couple of minor imperfections can be pressed out.. This one is going in a batch I'm pulling together and will post grade..
  12. PGM ASM 122 Picked up some ASM books, opinions on grade appreciated as always.
