This splash here from wolverine 1 sold within the last year for 7k. I thought about it for a bit but ultimately passed because Buscema’s Wolverine just doesn’t do it for me.

HA Summer Signature Auction Aug 2-4

Yikes - I didn’t read that. Those are the only parts that had any value. I wouldn’t spend 100k on just a big Doc Oc face! -

My apologies for the lack of clarity. The Thor cover was another stolen piece on Moys website. It’s priced at 10k on the website but since he got it back it’s 55k now ? RickyB -

Just for fun, some old Jack Kirby Collector ads!
RICKYBOBBY replied to KirbyJack's topic in Original Comic Art
What are those worth now? 100k+ I would imagine. -
Hey Robert, Did the piece look larger than 2up? Like much bigger? The scan really sucks!
-
Thanks Dino. The person being math challenged did cross my mind. What really confused me was the width of the page. 16 inches? Twice up pages are only 12.5 inches wide. That's another 4 inches going wide. The cover example might be the closest example.

Hey all, I was curious about this piece. It says it measures 16 x 22.75.. is that a typo?. Or is this some kind of massive board that was worked on for this story? Anyone who can explain/shed some light that would be great! Thx RickyB https://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=756172

RICKYBOBBY replied to batman_fan's topic in Original Comic Art
I have always been a fan of the Peanut strips when it came to reading them but not when it came to collecting them. There are so many of them and they are not cheap at all. But this piece - absloute perfection the characters and content are perfect! congrats! -
Hi all, Just added this splash page from What if #27. From a memorable story "What if the Phoenix had not died" which had an alternate ending to the Phoenix saga. There were only 2 splash pages in the story - this one and the title splash which is owned by @GreatEscape It ain't Cockrum or Byrne but still nice Note the team drawing at the top is a homage to the Giant Size X-Men 1 cover (minus Phoenix of course) Thanks for looking. http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1469843

You could get that 3-5K as an advance from an auction house
-
I'd say 7-10k at auction with an upside... it's ALL Perez too! Nice piece..

What art is burned into your brain ?????
RICKYBOBBY replied to Brian Peck's topic in Original Comic Art
This... burned into my brain since my child hood... http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1231920 -
I thought the pricing was absolutely absurd until I saw this (and there are a few others) on Heritage. Is this the type of quality you would get? https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/jim-lee-x-men-triptych-part-c-commission-illustration-original-art-2008-/a/7139-92121.s?ic4=GalleryView-ShortDescription-071515
