I am being sarcastic overall, but 16k subscribers for a comics channel isn't bad; roughly 1/3-1/4 of CT101.
But back to the comic: He also has to pay the presser/CT-remover, shipping, walkthrough grading, and maybe some other stuff. Not to mention those quoted HA prices INCLUDE BP and commission, so... I don't know what he's trying to do here if he legitimately received a $45k offer as-is.
I thought he said he was going to be the presser and CT remover himself.... either way --- the guy just make my skin crawl-- seems super devious and a bit of a scumbag. Taking a nice looking book that has a few faults and trying to do all this spoon to it is just dumb imo. I guess it is part of the game--- not that this book will ever be in my hands anyway regardless of what shenanigans he get to doing with it.

IKR. Looks like a good part of the spine will be hacked up. Notice he loves all the supporting comments (and there are a disconcerting bunch of 'em) but ignores the dissenting comments. Oh well, his book to do as he wishes, but my opinion of him isn't what it use to be after this.
I can't find any detractors in his comments-- does he remove ones not praising his ridiculous activities? He's a turd

these activities are disgusting. This clown needs to stop "fixing" things but cutting them off of perfectly fine comics. So what if they have bit of color touch-- who gives a spoon?
this dude is in it for the money only and not the collecting experience. Hate him!

At this point in life, I’m a picker. I already have WAY more bulk than I want or need. I have no problem paying up at fair prices for the better stuff. I don’t need to whip out my phone to make a decision.
I recently bought a half a dozen cool BA books from a lady at an antique show. She wanted a very reasonable price for a big pile. She didn’t want to sell individually so I paid her price, pulled out the ones I wanted and left the rest. She was a little shocked but I just didn’t want to deal with the rest either.
can you give an idea of how many total you left (kept 12)? sounds like she wasn't asking much

I find the OP sort of annoying. He claims that he only trusted the word of the seller verbatim as being complete etc.
Whatever-- I believe they said this came back as a 3.5 qualified versus getting a .5 incomplete grade.
Who the hell is afraid to open a book that is lower than mid-grade for fear of hurting condition?
That part makes ZERO sense
I examine every book I receive and I buy plenty of them from high to low but mostly mid grade. I don't mess with GA but do SA mostly. Every book I buy or sell gets a page count as standard grading practice. Pretty simple thing to take responsibility for. But no-- just send off a dang book for CGC grading without even looking inside of it? You know you could have a complete book with writing throughout it. Sorry--- the seller did make an error saying it was complete but the buyer did not do their part to examine it upon taking ownership. They could have avoided this whole thing.
What is fair at this point might be a refund of the cost of the book but no CGC fees. That's my take and I have no intention of reading anything the OP has to say in his defense. This is the way I handle things-- I could NOT care less about how careless they are in their affairs. This is the buyer's fault overall--- not 10%-- that is BS

good luck finding your items -- I would hate losing that much stuff.
I find it hard to believe that they could rob that many units and load it into a truck that fast. I suspect the thought of a large unit holding all if it seems likely if the in and out vehicles don't make sense. At least it wasn't just your books taken -- so the cops might actually try harder to find the stuff stolen and not use the old "it's just comic books" attitude we've seen sometimes

what a nutty thing to write.
SpoilerAlso- complaining about an incorrect order will not result in SPIT in your food as so many seem to think. That type of spoon might happen occasionally at a restaurant when someone is acting like a total arse--- but trust me--- having worked in a Domino's as recently as 2019 (not everyone is a teenage kid- another fallacy)--- no one has the time or need to act like that big of a jagoff.
If they mess up your order-- call them and explain what you are missing or how they need to correct it--- it will be remade typically ASAP and given priority. That has been my experience.
This whole thing about some comic seller and comparing them to a pizza delivery service is totally nonsense. Customer service is an art--- and those who are skilled at handling issues typically get their situations resolved more often than not.

my pics of the sold item on ebay
This is my personal collection of these cups acquired through lots of hard work (paper routes and biking 2.5 miles to the 7-11) and heavy drinking (those Slurpees weren't going to drink themselves, bub). 23 cups total-- they are all in relatively very nice shape.
SpoilerSome could use a bit of a cleaning but I will leave that to the ultra collector to manage rather than screw it up. I drank the slurpee, washed these out and gently stacked them. They never saw more action than that so the colors are pretty good on most of them. Selling them as a lot because I simply don't have the patience to piece-meal this out. I'm sure someone can pick them up for a bargain and then sell whatever extras they get.I am including my 7-11 issued checklist that shows the complete inventory. Sadly the list is not in the greatest shape but it does accurately point out that you ONLY have "19 to go". I can still remember tearing it off the big pad of them they had-- should have grabbed two. Might have been a good idea not to fold it up and put in my jeans pocket either. Oh well. I will take a bunch of pictures and let you peruse them as far as overall condition. But based on seeing other sales on eBay, I think the starting bid price on these are priced modestly-- but I expect to see some bidding action on these.Also-- I will be packing these very carefully-- so the shipping weight is reflective of that.HERE IS THE CHECKLIST:OK-- got them packed up pretty nicely in four stacks of 6-6-6-5 (added the pics abive at the end) Used 4 of my old Tampa Bay Buccaneers Buc Blast Collector cups (huge sodas) Went with half napkins (regular thin ply napkin split in two) to gently coat the cups without pressing them outward. Then another couple of napkins wrapped around the column between the marvels and the buc cup. Really feels like a perfect fit (without being stuck or something. Just need to bubble wrap the grouping and then put one more layer of newspaper/plastic bags to fill out an old computer paper box. Works out to about an extra pound and a half of what I figured for packing material.
Sold them on Ebay on 3/2014 for $101.82 after a lot of bidding. shipping was 16.28 (marvel 7-11 cups PM 3lb 6oz)
$80+ net for what most kids tossed in the garbage

all the cups I had were from 7-11. not sure if I had this one but there are better experts on the subject
I did make a nice bit of $ when I sold them on EbY-- which I was cool with as these things won't last forever---- the plastic becomes fragile and eventually collapses imo

don't see how any detached cover ever gets better than 2.0
not that telling us it was detached would have helped but that is BASIC grading contest fair play

I had some trouble finding a decent affordable copy of 158 and after about a year paid 28 bucks for a raw 5.5 back in 2017.
The ones that still elude me are 131 and 168 at a price I can tolerate. Well that and every DD 1-7
SORT OF gave up after a while

Sold a 2019 SI Swimsuit edition magazine on Amazon. It wasn't a huge amount of money and I sent it as cheaply as possible (yeah media mail-- but I do this quite often for Amazon magazines). I ended up having to refund the whole purchase and move on. Can't win em all.
This was back around Dec 11th (that is the date I created the shipping label-- actual mailing occurred before dialysis and on Monday morning by placing it into the outside postal box at the post office, Dec 12th).
Never received any updates and finally decided asking the USPS to look for the missing item via internet . USPS has never updated the information as even being received. No response at all from USPS to my lost item request--- NOTHING. Somehow, Amazon changed it's tracking information to show the following messages:
Delivery Information
Time Location Event Details Thu, Dec 22, 2022, 1:00 PM PST Carrier corrected delivery address issue for your package. Tue, Dec 20, 2022, 8:29 PM PST A carrier delay has occurred. Sun, Dec 11, 2022, 7:06 PM PST Carrier picked up the package.
Still only 35c Marvel Comics
in Bronze Age Comic Books
Posted · Edited by 01TheDude
I started collecting comics when they were 25 cents. Not long after, they started warning they would "still" be 25 cents and bam we were at 30. That seemed like brief time as well and without a still 30 bam-- we were at 35 cents. Imagine your buying power shriveling up in the space of 3.5 years. It made me mad to be fair and I decided that when they went to 40 cents-- bam-- I am done. It was time anyway as sports and girls became more important. good times while they lasted
not that I don't regret not continuing some of my favorites like DD and Thor which cost a pretty penny when diving back in around 2015
