  1. Some changes, such as an extreme situation of changing Wolverine's 1st appearance to #180, would have significant financial ramifications. I just want a bit of transparency in terms of what CGC will do with these requests for changes that they receive. Will they reject some?
  2. Is there a process for requesting for requests for changes to not be implemented? Maybe a separate thread?
  3. My modern drek slabs have increased in value now due to this price increase. Thank you CGC. @NewWorldOrder
  4. A local comic store (Alpha Comics) here in Calgary Alberta experienced the following on April 10. Please keep an eye out for the following books (grades and CGC serial numbers below):
  5. And now they are permanently closed. Nice guys, not sure what happened.
  6. I'm pretty sure CGC's QC team would make sure that the invisible comic got into the slab. There wouldn't be nothing inside.
  7. Lesson learned: Easier to grade invisible comics. Less risk for unauthorized versions.
  8. Thanks to a concerted effort to increase capacity and streamline workflow, Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®) has improved its turnaround times significantly for Modern and Modern Fast Track submissions while never sacrificing our high standards. What standards are they referring to? Asking for a friend.
  9. Its possible if they did a prescreen. Ludicrous and suspicious, but not impossible. I just don't feel comfortable with the absolute accusation. I think it could get this thread locked, we have to keep this thread going!
  10. Did they pay extra to get 9.9s and 10.0s? That is not clear.
  11. Where is the evidence? The absolute proof? Your point of view is much too absolute. Or maybe you have some insider information?
  12. I suggest editing your original post to clarify that.
  13. Maybe the issue is that Marvel isn't one of CGC's recognized "established" publishers, so CGC doesn't have to include them in the decision making process for this.
  14. does it have an acetate cover? if not, its likely incomplete.
  15. Not my work. The paper added should match the size of the comic and the text on it should be done by the original artist, who also is well established in the industry.
  16. Some shills I bet. Some bolds statements coming from these new board members.
  17. How do we determine whether an artist is established in the industry? Also what if today they are not well established, but 5 years from now they are?
  18. If the original artist does minor colour touch on a cover, years after the comic was published (for a single copy of the comic), is that still restoration?
