  4. Won a supposed 9.8 comic that did not live up to the seller's promise... I won an auction on eBay of one of these limited comics... 1/150 Marvel books advertised as a 9.8 perfect comic. Received the comic... all was good until I noticed that the entire left edge of the spine, the color had been rubbed off. Never in my 35 years of collecting have I seen a comic that had this uniform of a problem... All the corners were perfect, nice gloss, not color breaks or creases... interior pages were fine. Back cover as well. The only problem was the entire left spine the color was rubbed off. Might have happened when this comic was shipped to the original comic shop it arrived at. Anyhow, can anyone hazard a guess of the possible grade range... Somehow, I do not think it would be worth grading. Long story short, I contacted the seller after checking his posted picture of the comic. Notified him that he had obviously trimmed his picture he posted for the auction and removed the rubbed off spine. After having to get eBay Resolution Dept. involved, he has offered to refund full amount. Crazy huh... Thanks To see old comments for this Journal entry, click here. New comments can be added below.
