Canada customs now charging duties for returned submissions?
aardvark88 replied to Stormtrooper_Pete's topic in Ask CGC
Even if the (UPS) parcel is relatively low value of say $100 USD, UPS still could charge u the border brokerage fee of $76 loonies plus tax just to bring the box across the border to Canada. -

Was the Fed Ex charge about $76 plus GST for border brokerage fee for parcel to enter Canada? UPS may charge a similar flat rate fee. -
Long history of Wendy and Richard Pini (Warp Press) from Red Sonja cosplay to Elfquest mag to color graphic novels by Starblaze to Todd McFarlane to DC to Dark Horse Comics, etc.

woo hoo!! Comic books ranks at #2 after Philosophy
aardvark88 replied to grebal's topic in Comics General
At least we can't blame the lame writing of 'Youngblood' at the feet of Rob Liefeld. -

Never thought in my lifetime that I would hear Hank Kanalz's weak writing in 'Youngblood' compared to Plato's Greek philosophy. Make mine Marvel (M-she-U) instead. -

Great comic guest list at Mohegan Sun. Will see how Fan Expo Chicago/Rosemont is able to buttress their pop culture show on the same August weekend.

Market projections...sell now or wait it out?
aardvark88 replied to UncleAnwar's topic in Comics General
Depends on how old u are? Sell when u approach age 60 or get married/divorced. Flip in 3 years b4 the geezers that collect paper comics all retire and flood the market with even more paper collectibles. Youth grew up in the 'paperless office' environment or online everything with cell phones, social media and int'l online gaming so have little interest in vintage paper. -

Yellow Batman 1 and assorted Superman covers GA. Pic from FB. -
Legit ASM #1. Recommend u just sell/trade it off as is. Many low budget collectors would be thrilled to have a coverless copy for reading pleasure and historical value. Maybe purchase a laser color copy of the covers and inside cover/ads for about $20?
