  1. Wonderful, congrats on the job. Thanks I'm happy I got it tbh.
  2. Job update I got a job as a dishwasher/prep cook and will be starting on the 10th Consignment Update I've sold the comics and taken my 35% cut plus he added a comic and said drinks are on him I think that was awesome on his part and in a few weeks he'll be sending me more comics.
  3. Comics Sold ASM 300 CGC 9.2 Action comics 15 looks like the unpaid item case worked.
  4. It's thru E-Bay right? Just file the claim and move on. People flake out all the time on E-Bay so spend as little time with them as possible. File the claim and put it back up on E-Bay. Easy as pie. Already did file it I just put the update here as I'm willing to work with most people as long as they don't flake like she did if they did I open a case against them and block them.
  5. Comics Update The buyer still hasn't paid for my comic even though she asked for more time so it was time to open a case against her. I've tried messaging her, invoicing her, calling her and nothing.
  6. Comics news I've got two people interested in my jla #1 hope it goes well they both made offers let's see which pays first. Comics Plans List my ASM 300, Tec 359 and X-men 266 on ebay.
  7. I guess so. I am only doing it for 9am-12 noon and it is forecast for 30-60% chance of rain and 36-43 degrees. But I ran the craigslist ad for 3-4 weeks and I want to stick with the day so I have most of it set-up on the front inside of my garage. I will bring the nicer stuff out in the morning, open the door and hope people come by. But since it is in my garage it will be in the pictures. Can't wait to see it
  8. 450 comics isn't a motherlode but maybe a babyload. We can't all be Donut or October or (whoever) and find a guy with a van full of SA comics ready to unload for cover price. To be fair, a lot of people put in a LOT of legwork into getting 'lucky' with these comic finds. Of course, sometimes people get lucky too. Also, I'm guessing the best stories will never be told... I know I'll never tell mine...(and no, I didn't bilk an old widow or anything). Here's the key: 1) Always be on the lookout. Always. You never know. 2) Let all of your relatives and friends know that you're always on the lookout. All of my cousins across the country know to call me if they see comics anywhere. 3) Don't be a person_who_is_obnoxiously_self-impressed to people. Douchiness tends to radiate to muggles. 4) Offer a fair price. 5) Have cash. 6) Buy it all. Don't offer to cherry pick. 7) Be very very very ready to bail. If the seller's asking price is ludicrous, smile nicely, say "thank you for your time" and pack up your stuff. You're only out your time, and you will be amazed how quickly that ludicrous price comes down. Good advice, while I don't buy many collections. I always look and put out feelers. I second that good advice.
  9. Sold Comics Star Wars Action Figure Variant Action Comics 15 (Finally !!!! )
  10. I'm not sure if there's but it's likely and mind if I pm you?
  11. OK never mind then I won't try it haha.
  12. I never tried it as the stuff was too damaged and I heard lots of it is flimsy.
  13. I use the 342 for raw books ( up to ten ) and still have room for some nice cardboard and some bubble wrap. I like the 4433's for slabs. I do not like the Priority boxes from the P.O. Not enough space on the ends for packing and the slab is just about against the box on the ends. One drop and you have a cracked slab. With the 4433's you have about an inch on both ends for card board, foam or whatever. I ship them Priority but not in a paper thin box from the P.O. Just my way though. Thanks I'll take a look at those
  14. This is the one you use? http://www.uline.ca/Product/Detail/S-342/Easy-Fold-Mailers/12-1-8-x-9-1-8-White-Easy-Fold-Mailers?keywords=s-342
  15. Thanks that was a option I was considering as well and it seems people think highly of them. Been using U - Line for years and years. Fast shipping and a variety of different sizes to fit any order. The S - 342 is my main shipping box, but I also use the S - 558, and the S - 4433 for larger orders or bigger size books. Great to hear that they're reliable so for slabs you use the S-342 or S-558?

  19. I should have mentioned this earlier but I live in Canada I have a friend is the US that I ship stuff to but I wouldn't do me any good since I'd need it here.
