  1. It is at Detroit's Eastern Market off Russell Road southeast of Downtown in Shed 3 - two hundred booths with 1 to 2 tables of books including a number of comic book dealers and a number of book dealers who bring comics as well as art books, posters , sci-fi etc. I'll be in booth 14 with a wide range of comic books including Golden Age, precode , silver age- posters etc. Mike Parsons who is sharing the booth is bringing down very high grade more recent comics as he is beginning to thin his collection. Free admission and free parking- about 20-30 authors are also set up- hope to see you there. If you are within driving distance it is worth the trip.
  2. A number of people have asked me what is in the boxes? One headache is I am picking up box on the way in so a third of it I haven't seen yet- I'll be pricing like crazy on Thursday. The other are very missed lots - one is a collection of a major collector of original art - his art went to auction but the collection of books related to the art for some reason did not- so it is all over the place fawcet, harvey and quality needs to be early DC tends more to late 40's to right before the code sets in- some precode ME western. The other lot is from an artist tends to be lower grade but again is all over the map. The third lot is bronze age like new books from another artist- the first part of this lot almost sold out at Fallcon last year - this is what was left over plus another half longbox Hope this helps Best George Hagenauer- I am also thinning my collection of especially pre-code horror crime etc.
  3. I’ll be setting up and bringing 3 long boxes of Golden/Silver age from friends Collections that have never been offered before and several hundred pieces of art of all types at the Minnesota Springcon Saturday May 18th and Sunday May 19th. I'll be at the Springhollow booth (usually at the back of the show. Also some nice first Edition Conan hardcovers and some Donald grant editions of Howard's work https://www.mcbacomicons.com/ The space is under the Minnesota Fairgrounds grandstand so you’re looking at essentially a football field’s worth of comics and related material. This is an all comics (not a multimedia show) that draws about 10,000 people over the weekend- features a charity auction of comic art, and several dozen artists. Admission is $15 a day. I will not be the only person there selling art work. In addition to the many artist guests there are several other dealers who set up with some art to sell. It is a fun show which essentially took the best of shows like the old Chicago Comicon and improved on them. Hope to see some of you there – —George Hagenauer
