  1. Yeah I guess it is tiresome, but how else would a book like Thor 132 or 133 ever shoot up in value without some movie hype around it. I don't see any harm unless you are trying to complete a run of Thor and now a couple of books became a little harder to obtain. I don't think people will be doing hoops to buy the first appearance of Ego I said the same thing about Howard the Duck and Rocket Raccoon after GOTG1. People are bananas.
  2. I agree. Only reason I noticed is because I had my eye on one of the books that sold. Already have 133. Guess I'll just have to wait a while for 132.
  3. Was wondering why all the high grade Thor 132s got bought up on Ebay the last couple days.. Now I know..
  4. Wondering about this scanner as well. Was thinking about pulling the trigger since it was on sale. Anybody have experience scanning slabs with this model? Also wondering about the EPSON GT-1500 model..
  5. Most arent. The full time employees that make the decent wages are old. The new employees work 1-2 days a week with 0 benefits and a $16/hour starting wage hoping one day they'll get to full time which only happens if the regular gets fired quits retires or dies. I worked for the post office for 2 holiday seasons as a second job and as a rural carrier you get 0 hours of overtime and most work 6 days a week. Some even on Sundays now that Amazon feels there should be deliveries every day of the week. Everyone states the post office is broke. That's not true. They were strapped by Congress to fund retirement wages for the next century. When I left last year they were starting to turn a profit again. The USPS will always be around. Anyone that thinks differently obviously doesn't understand the volume the post office delivers on a daily basis. FedEx and UPS outsource A LOT of their packages to the USPS because they don't have the means to deliver them. They might have the planes but it takes manpower to deliver to 350 million people on a daily basis. UPS and FedEx will fly the packages and USPS delivers them. It works out for both parties.
  6. 2015 December average $143, with 51 sales November average $95, with 9 sales October average $99, with 12 sales September average $94, with 11 sales August average $97, with 16 sales I sold 2 copies. 1 @ 149.99 and 1 @ 159.99. Each book sold within a half hour of listing them.
  7. Congrats! Would of purchased a copy if a different time... can't believe you're selling 'the beast!'
  8. That's all?? Disappointed in your hoarding skills Amnesiac! Nice group of books my friend!
  9. I've had a ridiculous amount of offers on my listed copies. Got to love the movie hype!
  10. I think this movie might be a sleeper. Apocalypse is such a bad . Hopefully they'll do him justice on the big screen..

  12. Once a trailer drops youll see the Infinity gauntlet affect on all those civil war tie ins. Now's a great time to buy cheap.. just for example, civil war 9.8/60.00 x 3 is in my opinion a very decent price for a book that IS SELLING for 100 - 120 on ocassion now, and will probably sell for 120+ when such a trailer comes out The civil war sketch variants will get out of control
  13. Ramon hooked me up with a sweet copy of Crow #1 at a good price. A+ seller here. Thanks again!
  14. As of less than 3 months ago the NM copies I offered up had huge resistance at $150. I can send you scans of the books. They were both very nice copies and had only 1 offer on ebay and 1 offer on the boards. The selling prices of $135 and $130 were reasonable at the time but within 8 weeks the book tripled in value for no reason other than new highs of 9.8 slabs being sold. Of course the recent sales are legit. The hype of this book has already happened. I guess the next step is a buy it now 9.8 being sold for $1200. Then $1500. If you're so confident of the books staying power I'd love to see a 9.8 get sold on a reputable auction site for $1000+.. You should have had it graded. One offer? Anyways... I think the crazy train has rolled in on the prices. I will not defend a manipulated market price and agree it could be happening. As others pointed out those 1000 sales all happened at once last week and it does seem off. I love the book . Because of supply issues I don't know what the price should be but it seemed more honest in the 500.00 range . It did double in a couple of weeks and that's never good. I agree that the 500.00 range made sense. It's a great character and the book is tough to find. But when prices kept creeping up it raised question marks.

  16. Book was so hot the sellers couldn't hang onto it!
  17. I've still got one copy at cgc. When it gets back it will be sold immediately. I bought all mine for around $50-75. I thought that was an ok price but $350-400 for a raw I would have just laughed and moved on. Edit: As mentioned 3 months ago I couldn't even move 2 raw copies. Now with the pump everyone wants it. Isn't that the point of the pump/dump?
  18. Who's complaining or ridiculing? From what I've seen the advice is make an educated purchase not one on blind faith. You've got fanboys on here claiming they're Kamala's biggest fan but can't even spell her name right. When that hype train has run its course you think those same fans will care about Kamala or the next gwen variation?
  19. I personally am not a believer in the sales numbers for CM 17 2nd either. I sold raw NM copies on the boards and on ebay in late August and couldn't even fetch my asking price of $150. I know the books heated up since then but people touting it as the next BA12 are going to get burnt. One thing I found interesting is all the big sales in 9.8 that set new highs were fixed price listings. None were auctions.
