  1. Some AMAZING stuff in there. Someone should buy... all of it.. so bighaley21 doesn't. Fixed that for ya (thumbs u
  2. I'll just say I have a lot of each book. More than I probably should. I've got 10 at cgc right now. I just want to keep 1 9.8 copy of each for my PC and the rest(excluding my nycc #1) I will be selling at some point down the road.
  3. Yeah but you don't see others rubbing it in that they own a copy. It's a great book and should be enjoyed by as many as possible. It's a shame that there were so few printed imo. It increases the value of the books but takes away from more people being able to enjoy a copy of the original.
  4. I think the big 3 will always be 1. NYCC 2. 1A and 3. Phantom. Once people realize they'll never own a NYCC unless you want to pay a ridiculous amount they'll go to the next best thing and that's 1A then Phantom. I always loved the art on 1A and in fact it's what drew me in to start reading the series so I could see 1A being the face of everything Enormous.
  5. There is a crazy amount of "hot" books right now. Just means several will slip through the cracks. Only so much money out there to be spent. I can't remember the last time we had this many books that were on fire. This is the part that concerns me. What sustains this momentum, and how does the momentum ease? Slowly or quickly? I've thought the same thing for a while now. Every book is on fire now with no regard for print run or staying power of the character. $300+ on an Ultimate Fallout #4 slab is just dumb imo when I can buy a low grade Spiderman 129 for that price. Something has to give at some point.
  6. I got outsniped on that one. Feel like a rookie That's a great price for that book.
  7. Was trying to upload the pictures but for some reason photobucket is acting up on my phone. Is there any other upload site you guys recommend? Just seems like photobucket takes forever anymore.
  8. Just to update.. The seller sent me pics of the spine this morning and it does show minor blunting of the corner but nothing too major. He had no problems sending me the pictures over. Not a bad copy overall for someone wanting in the club.
  9. Threw out an offer and was shut down quick, not even a counter offer. Sent an email about the bottom corners... He said it was a bad camera angle and would send me better pictures tomorrow... What the Wait a second. What's going on here? This is the SAME book that I SUPPOSEDLY was in communication with this seller yesterday and today about and had a price offered to me from him by email, and I just asked him last night for another pic of the corner and he emails me this morning that he'd send me a better picture tonight..... and now it's up on Ebay? ? Was in talks with this party as well. He sent me pictures of the book but not of the back spine. Bad business and dishonest. Glad I saw this here. If someone's wanting any copy and doesn't care about the grade then this isn't a bad book to get you in the group but I'm out.
  10. That's still a great buy! Feel like 1-2 years down the line a lot of us will be kicking ourselves that we didn't pick that lot up for 74.95..
  11. I've got one in Florida. I don't care what grade it's getting just wanted it slabbed for my PC. Thanks again to Tim and The Authority for getting me on this book. It's been awesome being able to see the community grow and give their feedback directly to the creator. I don't think I've ever seen a book where that was possible. Glad to be a part of this amazing club and community!
  12. If I ever sell my NYCC(which I doubt will ever happen unless sales hit a ridiculous number) board members will have first dibs..
  13. Guys the real deal. Thanks for the awesome books and being a standup seller here on the boards! Couldn't of asked for a better transaction. Thanks Bigs
  14. I have 2 and they aren't for sale. So you're talking around 50-60 copies that MIGHT be for sale in the open market when everything is said and done?! Glad I bought mine early..
  15. Thank goodness! Just enough time for me to pick up 3 NM+ copies of 1A and a CGC 9.8 1B for $150
  16. Looks like 1A is going for $50. #1 Phantom is $100. I think the $210 sale is about right for the NYCC #1 right now. The more fans that come along the higher these prices should go. The days of $15-20 #1s are over.
  17. I've got one in Florida.. 94 and I always said the #1 Phantom First Printing was the book to have. I'm glad I own a Nycc #1 but the majority of collectors haven't even heard about this book yet. When they do #1A and #1 Phantom will be the books to own imo
  18. That IS my book and I can tell you that your are incorrect. There is no type of photo manipulation done on it. I don't roll like that. I scanned it at 300dpi. If you see something fishy in the photo, it is probably my printer. All I can tell you is that I'm probably one of the most honest people in this hobby/business. It can be a crutch sometimes but thats my disposition. I'm not a game player. I offer decent product, decent prices with excellent shipping practices. In all of my dealings with fufat he's been extremely honest and forward with any of his policies or any faults with the books he sells sometimes even taking a loss because of it. Couldn't ask for a better seller.
  19. Ebay have put themselves in a prime position to get the rug swept out from under them. All it would take is an Amazon or other big player to start offering auctions with a 3-5% fee.
  20. Had a guy flame me when I sold a CGC 9.4 NM 98 for $250 right when it blew up. He stated I was bringing the whole industry down.
  21. Congrats on the show Tim! Can't wait for the trade so I can get more people on board. I think my LCS has finally seen the light. He moved the remaining books he had from the back to front and center on the main shelf .
  22. I thought the print runs were quite a bit less than even these numbers.
