  2. I agree, I am much the same way when I shop. I would probably go 0.5 less in grade for a well-centered copy rather than a miswrap with a lot of white showing.
  3. Has anyone gotten their membership card yet?
  4. Same here. I enjoyed the creative team's run on X-23 a few years back so I added to my pull list. I liked what I saw in issue #1 and I'm sticking around for a while as well.
  5. What is the shameful secret? Porn? Worse. Professional cosplayer.
  6. So far out of the ANAD launch, I am enjoying All-New Wolverine, The New Avengers and Vision the most. In particular, Vision by Tom King has me really interested. Launching point is in one of the preview books, Vision wipes all his memories and/or feelings. He is living in DC with a synthezoid family he created and acting as White House liaison for superhero stuff. But it seems mostly about his strange home life. Really good read! Interested to see the Scarlet Witch book that comes out next week, as well. I picked up The Vision after comicopolis did a brief thread on here linking to this story on io9. I enjoyed it. Great link! Unsettling is definitely the mood of that issue 1. The narration, the neighbors... it's an amazing read.
  7. You know, it snuck up on me as well. I am loving the Omega Men and Grayson right now and had no idea about Vision until last week.

  9. Gotham Academy, Wayward, Omega Men, American Vampire. The first issue of Vision that just came out by Tom King has me hooked.
  10. Around 1994 I had gotten to know one of my LCS owners and was able to see some of the books he did not have for sale in the shop. I picked out a beautiful NM Nick Fury #1 for probably around $40-50. Back then it blew my mind to see a book from 1968 look this new. The white parts of the cover were so white, the inside paper was so white and it smelled as good as a new book! I don't even remember to whom I sold it or for how much. I sold it during a period where I had stopped collecting and was selling off for cash. I really miss that book now.
